Unfortunately I live in Malaysia, things here stay at MSRP even well after they are outdated or obsolete. g274qpf-qd here is actually slightly more expensive than the E2 lmao. Unfortunately q27g3xmn is not available here.

    Thanks for help.

Actually you'll have a higher bitrate coming in so there can be a difference. It wont be massive but it is there.

But just to save data id just do 1080p as the difference isnt amazing

I doubt that’s the case. I was having these cooling problems before I even installed MSI afterburner and when it wasn’t even running.

From the reviews I've seen so far the Asus seems to be the best monitor using the new 32" 4K QD-OLED panels from Samsung. The MSI one seems to be the best value.

xg32 reacted to Shimejii in Are Oled Gaming Monitors really good for gaming?
They are going to be the best for the next 5-10 years before the next display tech comes out that beats them (Self-emmisive Panel tech) and even then OLED is going to have a major advantage with brightness (even though its pretty dim compared to mini LED)

if you play FPS or games with visuals, yeah OLED is the best monitor on the market, from 4k 240hz to 1440p 360hz for the FPS oriented games. There is simply nothing better.

Burn in is a huge concern, but if you have the budget for a 700-1400$ monitor, its not enough of one to matter. As long as you are smart with your usage and properly doing OLED maintenance care, they should last a few years.

xg32 reacted to Jones Cabrones in Anyone returning the AW2725DF like me? Alienware QD-OLED 360Hz 1440p
I wanted to know the opinion of other owners, I will return mine nevertheless, but want to know anyway.

The monitor looks very good in games and video, and all the OLED benefits blah blah blah we heard 300 times or more.
But this monitor has two issues I cannot ignore.
1- It has like a darkened image in the corners, just like a vignette, the image gets darker the closer you get to the corners, this only happens in HDR, so I assume is not physical damage to the panel.
2- White is red, everything has a red tint to it, if you reduce the R, (As in RGB) saturation to 0% red now looks gray, but white still looks red-ish.

I messed with all the settings, nothing seems to resolve these two issues. I use my monitor to play and work almost 50-50, so the desktop usage is very important to me.

Other lesser issues that I was prepared to look over are:
    * The constant need to refresh the pixels and prompting me if I want to cancel if I turn the monitor off then change my mind and turn on.
    * If you turn off the monitor it get disconnected from the sources.
    * Text is a bit blurry on the desktop, but for me not as much as other people describe (white text is red though)
    * The menu is all over the place, a lot of HDR modes that feels like they do nothing, no manual in the box.
    * Sometimes I get nausea or eye discomfort, but is rare and it feels like it happens more in games with big FPS swings, I didn't feel that before on a 144Hz IPS though.

Overall for me a pretty crappy experience for 1000 CAD, I bought a LG WOLED to replace it but it didn't arrive yet, if its bad like this I will return it as well and go back running to IPS.

xg32 got a reaction from Hi P in In terms of features, are NVidia GPUs far superior than AMD?
    YES.

i dont use ray tracing at all. and still dlss>fsr for 4k, but it's not like i can't use FSR, the shimmering's just quite...noticeable in some games to put it nicely,

1440p native, amd is usually a good bit stronger for the same price. my 6950xt kicks my 3080ti's ass at 1440p, probably the same for the xtx vs the 4080S.

if someone doesn't wanna deal with the 12vhpwr connector, go amd.

at the end of the day, the 4090 is the fastest gpu atm, so fast that we won't even get a titan this gen.

And just because i dont use the tensor cores for deep learning doesnt mean others don't, and AI's all the hype right now, so nvidia cards will be easier to resell for people that do.

xg32 reacted to Shimejii in Help me pick a QD-Oled monitor
You can tell Gen 1 to gen 2 based on their names and description.

Avoid the DELL one and the Samsung one (Unless you want the Matte display and potential headache of dealing with Samsung CS), your choices will be between the Gigabyte, Asus, And MSI model. ASUS has had the brighter panels in the past for OLEDS, Gigabyte usually has some of the most affordable options, and MSI has that AI assisted gameplay thing.

If i had to chose one, probably the ASUS but do not expect them to ever actually fulfill the warranty for burn in. ASUS is a trash company for a reason nowadays for their awful CS. Gigabyte has been shown to be pretty reliable for monitors. MSI will have a NON AI version for cheaper, an the AI version costing a bit more.

Price wise expect the ASUS to be the most expensive, Gigabyte and MSI to be better priced.

$450 for what's mostly an $800 graphics card... That sounds suspicious. If you're buying on eBay you have a strong buyer protection to back you up, if you're buying in person you had better have some way to verify the quality of the product before you hand over the money.
