  1. in that case the asus one is better
  2. the GM panels are some of the worst ips panels around, the asus is the best one out of the list. check if the msi g274qpf-qd is available in ur region, that or the asus, get the one thats cheaper.
  3. after digging into it a bit it seems like the E2 is about the same as the original with firmware update and better calibration. if you are in the US it's 275usd and it's pretty much the best edgelit monitor out there ever since the first one came out in 2020. Would not consider the dell over the cheaper g274qpf-qd at 215usd LG's low contrast is definitely noticeable. The other option to consider is the q27g3xmn for the cheapest mini-led available for hdr.
  4. the part that sticks out to me was pulling the cmos, the card might be fine.
  5. both occt and furmark are can break the cards, not worth the risk and not what i'd personally sure for any kind of benchmark, just use 3d mark and actual games (cyberpunk2077, helldivers etc)
  6. the LG monitors have low contrast and color volume compared to the g274qpf-QD, they were good when they came out but unfortunately LG won't/can't use QD panels. I've seen the g274qpf-QD for as low as 200usd, make sure it's the qd version, the non-qd version is bad https://tinyurl.com/33j5mw3k the offbrand model of the same panel is sometimes seen for 175usd, h27t22 another option is the aoc q27 if you want a budget mini-led, it's a decent VA panel https://tinyurl.com/2p8c4ymc my LG's sitting around, i can't recommend it in 2024 unless it's really cheap.
  7. most likely a demand issue, 1080p is about 20% of the market last i checked. You are the first person i've seen that's asking for a 24inch oled/hdr. IIRC there were 1440p 24inch panels that were designed but no demand for it, premium 1080p monitors likely fall into the same category. For me personally i prefer my main display to be 4k, as small as they can make it (my perfect monitor also doesn't exist), i'd use 1080p and 1440p monitor as text mons but that's about it. If there's a 24inch 4k monitor with all the bells and whistles i'd be interested but 27inch 4k oled is slated for 2025, there's no shot we are getting 24inch 4k of any kind. the viewing experience of higher pixel density isn't something thats in demand, so i just settle for whats available. Most people sit alot further away.
  8. it's different case by case but i'd guess the ram settings are the sole issue here, some corsair models just don't work as well. i'd recommend 2 sticks of gskill instead since you are having problems.
  9. the blooming less noticeable than the pg27uq, but if u sway ur head in a dark scene it's definitely still there (the mouse cursor mostly), ktc's basically the guys that's been making the monitors, the other brands (msi, gigabyte, CM etc are just white labels of the same monitors), that said i wouldn't count on warranty beyond what amazon offers. Overall the risk is fairly low and you are getting a better monitor for a quarter of what the 2018 models cost (my dead x27 is still sitting behind me )
  10. i think that's the default afterburner settings, the card even on stock/auto should ramp up higher.
  11. for hdr i'd recommend this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BG3XZFY7/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=A1HMEUY6L6RX3B&psc=1 for edgelit on a budget the msi g274gpf-qd https://www.amazon.com/s?k=msi+g274qpf-qd&i=electronics&crid=3MC0VNQ3T15NF&sprefix=msi+g27%2Celectronics%2C137&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_4_7
  12. the m27p20 would be a straight upgrade from the pg27uq for 525usd, the fan is rarely on unlike the 2018 models, which is now obsolete. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BG3XZFY7/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=A1HMEUY6L6RX3B&psc=1 it uses the same panel as the gp27u https://www.amazon.com/s?k=gp27u&crid=2HD7FCQ1HLBTE&sprefix=gp27u%2Caps%2C137&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 wider color gamut, more zones, brighter hdr etc, blooming still exists. I have a bias toward mini-led, i had them side by side and the overall colors on the oled look noticeably worse. However the green and gray looks better on the oled which has a lower color gamut, text clarity, but no blooming, it's personal perference. my recommendation for oled is the msi 321urx for 900usd https://www.amazon.com/MSI-MPG-321URX-QD-OLED-Quantum/dp/B0CTSC3VS4
  13. heat matters, 18months with last gen, no burn-in yet
  14. the fans are only 1300rpm, should be double that, turn them up.
  15. he said he wanted it above 60hz, unless we dig up some old 75hz or 100hz panel it's the easy find, "gaming" is just marketing anyway. even the cheaper m32u is 500usd, and i wouldn't recommend that over the ktc.
  16. 600usd , lowest price yet for this monitor, worth noting that the 27inch panel has a wider color gamut. prices are dropping quite frequently as mini-led/ips monitor generally has to be cheaper than oled options. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BCK1K44F/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_7?smid=A2SHWIYMNRTTNZ&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BG3XZFY7/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=A1HMEUY6L6RX3B&psc=1 prices are dropping quite frequently as mini-led/ips monitor generally has to be cheaper than oled options
  17. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BG3XZFY7/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_4?smid=A1HMEUY6L6RX3B&psc=1 i've owned both monitors, side by side the miniled ips has a wider gamut, greens grays and dark scenes look better on oled, other/brighter colors looking better on miniled 32inch version is 150usd more https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BCK1K44F/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_6?smid=A2SHWIYMNRTTNZ&th=1 the msi 321urx which is 32inch 4k qd-oled is going to be priced at 900usd to be released soon.
  18. the jump from 144 to 240hz isnt too big imho the m27q-x is 400usd atm, but with the g274qpf-QD 170hz (the best mid range monitor imo) is only 219.99 atm, it's hard to justify paying 400usd for 240hz https://tinyurl.com/5be49v9w for 280usd i recommend the aoc va miniled https://tinyurl.com/25ycvft6 everything above that is kinda in a weird place right now, would rather spend 550 for a m27p20 or 800 for a 271QRX
  19. if you have to pick btwn those 2, definitely the the 1440p 240hz, but i'd recommend spending a bit more for 4k 120 for 550 https://www.amazon.com/KTC-Monitor-HDR1000-Speakers-Computer/dp/B0BG3XZFY7/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=UfidG&content-id=amzn1.sym.d0ebfbb2-6761-494f-8e2f-95743b37c35c%3Aamzn1.symc.50e00d6c-ec8b-42ef-bb15-298531ab4497&pf_rd_p=d0ebfbb2-6761-494f-8e2f-95743b37c35c&pf_rd_r=ZWWY4J2VJ810RA9AV80T&pd_rd_wg=YESkX&pd_rd_r=20900db9-8b12-41b1-804b-c70664cbb35c&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_atf_m&th=1
  20. the m27p20 dropped to 550usd, so you are paying for the ultrawide part of it. also unless you can physically test the monitor, theres a fairly low chance the fan of the pg35vq is working as intended, though if it is, decent deal. a brand new 3423dwf is 800usd new and is slightly better than the pg35vq imho, so for 495 i'm slightly leaning toward the seller in this case, it's better than getting a g5 tho.
  21. here's the list, https://www.displayninja.com/best-oled-monitor/ i'd go for flat qd-oled and gloss, the msi options are the same panel and 200usd cheaper than the others whenever in stock. gsync is unnecessary in 2024 imho
  22. i dont understand the problem in exact details, but the higher end professional displays usually has 12, 14 or 16bit LUT, so the gradient is more fluid, most gaming displays are 8 or 10 bit. If i had to guess it's alot more info and the processor is either too expensive at the consumer level at 120hz my go to right now for a text/working monitor is the sw240, it's just very comfortable to look at and causes no eye strain for me the panel is piggybacked off an discontinued older model that cost about 700usd https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CCQGFFG/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_7?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1 you can see the 16bit LUT models in the same link, they are "budget" versions of eizo models. afaik the pa32ucg is the only monitor that's 4k 120hz with 12 or 14bit LUT, though i have my doubts since asus doesn't disclose that info.
  23. something's limiting it to 1.2, it's not the 4070, not the cable, so it's the port on the monitor, setting it to 8bit and the frc or the gpu will make it 10bit anyway.
  24. theres a coupon and a prime price, 215 where i am, it's almost as good as the 274qpf-qd, but not quite.
  25. this is the best 1440p monitor for around 200usd http://tinyurl.com/mj6tfvej for ultrawide at that price range, it's all similar VA panels so you are paying extra just for the uw in exchange for color/picture quality compared to the original AOC you linked.
