Why are they still using old hardware in these devices? I upgraded my network to 10gig long ago.

The roku ethernet port is limited to 100Mbs, i have content over 100Mbs so the roku is un-able to play some content from my server that uses plex. Main issue i need to use the xfinity app and i don't think it's own anything else. I have been just transcoding down to under 100Mbs and it plays fine then. it's just annoying since you can see a difference.

I have a Ryzen 5 3600 in my server been looking at the Ryzen 9 5900X as a upgrade since the price has came down. I always used to buy Intel and i assume AMDs CPU prices go up once no newer AM4 cpus are released. At least it seemed to be that way with older intel cpu's.

So it's not just me, i don't return that much stuff but i have a coworker that returns stuff every single week! Mostly cloths and she does not get the QR code option. Probably why they are doing it. I can't find a way to scan the QR code myself to get a label it must only be recognized at a UPS store etc.

I noticed this a few months ago but whenever i return something to amazon now they only give me a QR code that you take to a UPS store and they box the item. The UPS store for me is a 30min drive and with the cost of gas it's a drive i don't want to make especially considering that UPS comes to the office every single day for a pickup and the UPS store is in the opposite direction. I used to print my own label box it up and just give it to the UPS guy at work but i can't do that anymore as the option for that is no longer there.

Do you keep your banking info in a manger? I admit it makes finding a password simple and easy.

I'm cheap and don't like paying for things but i recently tried out a password mangers trail now it's time to pay up, i'm still undecided. I've used googles password manger for years without issue BUT i never would use any password manger for banking, credit card login etc. I only use them for forums, social media accounts things that are not very important if they got stolen as all my info is fake. I just don't see that being worth paying for.

What are you guys using for home security? I was using smart things but switched to hubitat but still have issues with sensors dying without any warning or the battery life showing 50% left when it's actually dead. I use cameras to they work great it's just the door sensors and such that die without warning.

Still does it any other ideas?

I bought a second Intel NUC installed windows 11 Pro everything works great but sometimes when i shutdown the NUC the little blue light stays on as if it's powered on and sure enough when i go to use it again if i push the power button it does not come on. No boot screen no HDD activity light. Pull the power plug and the blue light goes off plug it back in and then it boots right up. It does this randomly. At first i thought it was going into standby mode but after many times of selecting shut down it's not. It's model # is RNUC11PAHI50001 I'm using a Samsung 500GIG Nvme drive and a stick of Crucial RAM. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to connect a android phone to a Windows 10 hot spot that is using a VPN surfshark. PIA etc. I used this guide https://support.surfshark.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013717719-How-to-set-up-a-VPN-protected-Wi-Fi-hotspot-using-Windows- The android phone will connect but says it can't get a IP. In the Win 10 hotspot it shows the phone connected with a IP. It works on a Iphone Any suggestions?

I changed out to a different case with better air flow and i am using the same fans now my temps are 82F on the 10TB drives and 75F on the 4TB drives. This new/old case has a HDD rack in front of the fans there is about 2-3 inches of space between the hard drives and the fans. When i think of Static Pressure fans i think of radiator fans so would this still apply? I did buy Noctua fans but have not installed them as of yet. I would be very surprised if it made any difference. The larger TB drives seem to run hotter. Room temp is 70F but that will go up obviously. I think the max operating temperature for seagate ironwolfs is 70C =158F

This is in unraid so HWinfo is not going to work. What is the difference in the Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-2000 or NF-F12 iPPC-2000

I'm using bgears fan rated at 103CFM and run them at 100% Hard drivers are seagate iron wolfs. MB does not watch HDD temps.

Not as intense as bgears they have over 300CFM at 5200 rpm must sound like jets. lol

Does it really matter which fan you get? My MB has PWM and a DC fan setting.

I can give Static Pressure fans a try do you have any suggestions on what to look for? Does CFM really matter. I wonder if i should get a fan controller or just let the MB control the fans.

I'm not sure if that would help? The HDDs are in the front of the case as is all the fans. The case is a Define_7_XL

Can anyone suggest some high air flow fans for a server? It has 10 HDD's to cool. 120mm fans only with PWM. My current fans are 103CFM they tend to not last very long. Thanks

It's always done it and has been random nothing has been changed. I just updated the BIOS but same issue. It seems keyboard shortcuts do not work in the bios F10 etc but the mouse does. If i play around with the boot drive which is UNraid it will work eventually. I have replaced the USB stick that unraid is on once because i thought that was the issue it seemed to fix it for a few months now it's back. Sometimes when i try to boot up my PC(server) will not post, this MB will cycle through the onboard led color codes so i do not know what code it is giving me. It's like it keeps trying to boot. It just goes through all the color codes never staying on one.

CAT6 going to a 10GIG Switch, it's a short run only a few feet.

I have a new ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4 LGA 1700 MB with a Intel 2.5GIG NIC windows 10 and 11 only show it as a 1GIG. I have tired the new drivers from asus and intel same issue. My Mellanox ConnectX-3 works fine at 10GIG but 2.5 would be enough.
