I recently build my fist pc, got a friend to bring me part from the usa, the only thing i could not get was a cooler. Here in Brazil, everything is very expensive, my best option is a h115i pro for 120U$ equivalent, or a Assassin II for 90U$. My fis option was a nhd-15 but the best i can find here is a very high 800 BRL or 160U$ so i am thinking about running the stock cooler. My build: 3900X; x570TufGamningPlus; 32Gg 3600c16; rm850x; air 540; 970 evo 500gb + 2Tb HD got it all for 1200U$, also use my old peripherals and 1060 from my old rig. I run some reasonably heavy engineering simulations, hence the ryzen 9, also like my AAA games, i'm saving for a better GPU and monitors, but for now 1080p60 is fine for me. The strong doubt i have is what should i do about the cooler. I don't think spending another 120 wich is 10% of the pc budget, is gonna get me that better performance, and i don't think i NEED that performance, Right now running prime95 on stock configurations i'm getting roughly 4.1GHz stable at 78ºC, Even if i get the cooler and overclock i'll get what?? 4.5 maybe? I'm thinking is better to save my money for something else tough EVERYWHERE i look build online or guides, i don't see anyone running the 3900x on the amd wraith prism. That's why i'm having doubts. Any toughs? Thank you in advance, sorry for bad english or anything else.
