  1. I didnt know about the 2 TB limit, thank you very much for mentioning it. Just got this server and didn't have the time to read me into all the specs. But to be honest i didn't expect such a low limit.
  2. Hey guys, i've got a question. I want to make a samba share on a vm with 2x8 TB Drives in Raid 1. I've got a PERC 6/i mit 256 MB Cache (3G SAS / 3G SATA) Raid Controller but unfortunately i only have money for one 8 TB drive at the moment. Is it possible to configure a Raid 1 with only 1 drive (for now) so i can use it as my network drive and later when i've got enough money for another one i can just put it in and it will rebuild the raid instead of needing to delete my files from the drive to create a raid again with 2 drives again? Thanks in advance! Greetings from Germany.
  3. @Adorable Cat my camera is currently not working but thats another topic. The problem is that i can't even login to facetime.
  4. Hey, i installed a hackintosh on my windows machine as a virtual machine. I used this tutorial which was pretty easy. Unfortunately facetime isn't working which was the main reason i installed it. I don't really know what to do to get it running. If you need further information i'll happily provide it. Any help is much appreciated. I assumed that the Serial Number is the problem so i used clover to generate different ones. I tried a few. Nothing worked. Thanks in advance for any help.
  5. Thank you very much! Have a great day!
  6. Oh okay, thanks. Where can i change it to never spin down? I dont know where to look. I dont need a full tutorial or something just a point where to search for it.
  7. When i play a game, which is completely stored on this 4 TB drive and it makes this sound frequently its a spinn up noise? I thought that when i play a game the drive constantly spins fast because it has to read the data from it and not do a spin up every 10 seconds. Is this where i am wrong?
  8. It does it frequently while i am Gaming. Haven't tried it while working in Photoshop. When i do normal stuff like browsing and using normal programms which dont need much ressources the drive does it just once in a while. Edit: The programms i am talking about are stored on this drive
  9. yea the sound file isn't the best. Couldn't find a better way of recording it. The sound comes definitly from the drive because when the wrup sound appears, the drive vibrates more than usual. They only replace the drive, i don't think i can get my money back, can i? Can you link me an HDD you would recommend?
  10. Hey, I have an Seagate 4 TB Helium HDD and it started making noises i am not familliar with. After the noises got more frequently i did an rma at seagate. Now my new HDD started to make the same noises. When i surf and do other small things on my pc it stays quiet but when i start a game this sound appears frequently. It sounds like "wruuup" (i attached a sound file). In my opinion it shouldnt do that sound. Can anyone explain to me if this is a normal sound and if it is concerning or not? And if its normal could you explain why it does that and why the old one started making it after one year of use and the new one from the start? I would be really glad for any help/advise. Kind regards Niklas wrup.mp3
