  1. I'm currently looking to buy new headphones for PC. It will be mostly for gaming, though also videos and music, and the budget is around USD 150-170. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0016MNAAI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1 This is one a friend recommended, but I'm open to any suggestions from you guys.
  2. Hey guys. Currently been looking for a laptop to use for gaming while I'm away from my gaming desktop. https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-7700HQ-1060-6GB-G3-571-77QK/dp/B06Y4GZS9C/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1535346370&sr=1-1&keywords=laptop&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A13580790011&dpID=41v2oytxs9L&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch Current budget is about $1000, but I could perhaps go up a couple hundred or more, not looking completely for something too big, since I already have a main gaming desktop. Any thoughts on this? Edit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CTHLX8C/ref=psdc_13896615011_t3_B06Y4GZS9C Found what seems to be another version of this laptop.
  3. I meant in that it seems it drains fast in general, not just when comparing when I'm home. Even when only using apps that access internet, no videos or games, it only lasts until like 5pm or something, and I had the battery replaced one year ago.
  4. Hi there. I wasn't sure where else to get help so I hope it's okay to ask here. I've been living in Canada with an US number for some time, so I use roaming. However, I have noticed that the drain on my battery seems to be to way to big when I'm outside (when I'm home I have the phone set at airplane mode). I heard that when a phone is in roaming, it searches more frequently for a cell tower, which causes a bigger battery drain. I can't find almost any resources on this anywhere, so I was hoping someone knew the answer.
  5. That explains it. I've only tested it on laptops and console controllers. Thanks.
  6. I mean because my headphone has one single cable for both input and output. I was looking around and could it be I need a cable splitter for that?
  7. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/dgRLhq I've been trying to use my headset, which works in other devices, in my PC. However, I can get any audio input from it, only output. I've connected it through different jacks and Realtek configuration, both before and after updating the driver from the motherboard manufacturer website. Any advice?
  8. Yup, saw that video too. Damn, I only have like 88GB free out of the "250GB" total. By how much do you think I should have the over-provisioning space?
  9. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/dgRLhq Hi guys. This a build I use for gaming and everyday use. For the SSD, I've heard that you should be leaving 10% for over-provisioning, which I did through the Samsung Magician. Is that good enough, and should I leave additional space free space aside from the over-provisioning space?
  10. I have a 1TB internal HDD to use for storage (aside from an SSD for boot), using GPT. Using NTFS, should I enable file and folder compression?
  11. I mean I got it to work last night. I used the same USB that I had used as installation drive and redid the whole process with the windows media creation tool. I just don't know why they didn't work before. At least I have a computer again...
  12. I uninstalled it from programs and features, but it is still happening.
