  1. hmmm, driver update seems to have fixed it! Sorry for the time wasting
  2. Hi, I have a feint vertical line running directly down the middle of my screen. I'm not sure if it's always been there of not, I have noticed it before during gaming but I didn't think too much into it, thought it may have been another PUBG bug. When typing today though it was quite noticeable as the text crossed the line, it seemed to compress the letter passing it. For example an m would look more like a n or a w like a v. It's an AOG 27" IPS 144hz G-Sync monitor and I'm using a 1080Ti card. Just updating the graphics driver now but any ideas? Cheers, Peter
  3. Hi all, What rating PSU would I need for the above and could you recommend a decent one please? Preferably modular or at least semi, I'm in the UK. Thanks
  4. Thanks everyone for the replies. He’s going to order all the components separately and I’ll build it for him. We’ll probably go for an air cooler though rather that an AIO. I have a Noctua NH-D15 in my build, can anyone recommend something decent but a bit cheaper? He may do a mild overclock but nothing extreme?
  5. Hi all, my friend wants to upgrade to a new gaming pc and has sent me this link https://nextdaypc.co.uk/products/draco-gaming-pc-i7-8700k-cpu-nvidia-1080-ti-11gb-16gb-ram-256gb-m-2?variant=593267097616 what do you think about that for the price? I know he’ll need to add a larger hard drive. Can he build a similar spec much cheaper by buying all the parts himself? Or build a better spec for similar money? Thanks. Peter
  6. Thanks mate. Yes even going to the £800 Max looks like he wouldn’t even be able to get a 1060 3 gig. Prices are mental. Ill let let him know, he may have to consider a used gpu.
  7. Hi all, A friend is looking to get into pc gaming and has a budget of £700, possibly stretching to £800 absolute maximum excluding os, monitor or peripherals. What would you recommend please guys? It’ll be used for 1080p gaming, fps games such as bf1 and PUBG. thanks
  8. I got my Logitech G810 from Maplins for £99 instead of rrp of £140-150 I believe. Full custom rgb lighting and num pad. I really like it, not sure if it's still on sale now though. Also has the Romer G switches not the cherry mx
  9. As per the title guys, any recommendations please? Mainly for editing my daughters youtube videos and maybe adding a few special effects. I heard DaVinci Resolve and Lightwave are very good, are they difficult or time consuming to get to grips with?
  10. Thanks for the link mate. I’ll have a look at it when I have a few hours over the weekend
  11. I don’t think there’s a definitive answer. 24 vs 27 will be a personal preference thing. What size monitor do you have now and are you happy with the size?
