  1. Hey all, My computer can boot into windows fine but upon logging into the desktop, it freezes and subsequently crashes. After crashing, the computer will attempt to reboot automatically, but will fail to post over and over. It started happening after the power to my apartment cut out when the computer on. I booted into safe mode and disabled all start up programs through task manager, but it had no effect on the problem. Also tried resetting all bios settings but this also did not resolve the problem. I don't know if this really matters, but my computer is plugged into a reputable power board with 650 joules surge protection. Thanks in advance
  2. I have the HyperX cloud cores and when I tried my friends open back headphones it felt really different because of the cloud's noise cancellation.
  3. Thanks for this, really helped me out
  4. If you are sure the SATA cables are not the issue, the problem is most likely either the SSDs or a lack of PCI-E lanes.
  5. Unfortunately no 4k ultrawide yet. The 4k high refresh rate monitors are super expensive. I would recommend a 3440 x 1440 100hz ips monitor for your situation.
  6. I was thinking of getting one of the two cases listed above. Right now, the Define C is $36 more expensive ($155 instead of $119) and I would like advice on which I should go for. Thanks in advance.
  7. All high end monitors have a chance of being faulty. I don't think there is any brand in particular that is better than the others when it comes to this.
  8. Also 1600 comes with a decent stock cooler while 1600x doesn't
  9. That is a cpu intensive game, so the cpu is probs the bottleneck, even at 1440p. For that resolution, you could probably get away with a ryzen 5 2400g or i3 8100, but if you wanted to futureproof you could get a ryzen 2600 or i5 8400.
  10. Would -62 dBm on 5GHz AC be better for online gaming instead of -50 dBm on 2.4GHz AC. My three other roommates all use the 2.4GHz band and not the 5GHz as none of them have a desktop pc.
  11. Alright, thanks for the above info. I doubt I will get a 240hz monitor now, given that all of them are TN.
  12. Just a quick and simple question. Do all the 240Hz monitors use the same panel, or are some higher quality than others? Just trying to find out whether the expensive ones actually have something over the cheaper ones (that isn't adaptive sync or motion blur technology).
  13. Both of those would be fine for the case and are both pretty reliable. However, the TX750M is considered slightly more reliable and it is covered by a longer warranty. One more thing is, the TX750M is gold not platinum rated.
  14. No, I didn't think it would be necessary for it to work.
  15. The i3 8100 beats the ryzen 3 2200G by about 10-20% at 1080p
  16. Recent bought a new Wifi card as my old one was outdated and only supported 2.4GHz. However, my new one is not being recognised by the motherboard. My old one, TP-LINK 300N, worked fine in the same slot and I have not changed anything apart from the Wifi card. My motherboard is an ASUS B350-F and I attempted to put the wifi card in the lower of the three PCI-E x1 slots, the same one I put my original Wifi card in. Thanks!
  17. I'm pretty sure it is... On pcpartpicker the only Samsung 144hz monitors are curved. If you don't want curved than I would get the AOC.
  18. The samsung one is curved, so buy that unless you dislike curved displays
  19. Try using pcpartpicker. This is the only monitor that fits your description; ASUS PG27VG.
  20. The title says it all. I am trying to get relive to only record the game with the game sounds, but not my mic or my friends in discord. I have tried disabling microphone in relive settings, but it doesn't seem to work.
  21. If you combine two identical dual channel kits, would it run in quad channel?
