  1. Hey guys, so I just upgraded from a 1060 to a 1080 since the price was great. I let afterburner do it's OC scan magic to get the best bang for my buck. However the card is constantly hitting 83c (temp limit) so I thought I'd undervolt it... Opened up the frequency/voltage graph, chose a point (approx the clock speed where the card was hitting temp limit) and dragged all the points right side of it down to the same clock speed to set my max voltage to 1V. That worked great, card wasnt exceeding 1V anymore, but somehow it started exceeding the temperature limit by a lot, im talking 94c here, even though the limit was still set to 83c. The card tried to compensate for it, even dropping down to 1600mhz 0.8v but still being wayyy above temp limit. How is this possible, any clues?... Thanks a lot. Nighty
  2. okay i think that fixed it, idk what caused the problem but so far it seems to be working. If anyone has a clue what the BSOD are about, please let me know. If they occur again I'll be sure to post it here!
  3. no not yet since i didnt back up all my data and didnt want to loose it, i managed to get into safe boot and thats what ill try now, ill keep u up to date
  4. Hello guys So i decided recently to get a new CPU, I upgraded from a R3 1200 OC @3.8 to a R5 3600. The system has been working fine beforehand, but ever since the CPU swap, Windows 10 is taking over 15min to boot. Also it doesn't run for very long, best case I had was maybe 10min of uptime before I got a freeze. A weird thing I noticed was that there were multiple blackscreens, before every blackscreen there was a noticable *click* in the PC. I would suspect either my PSU or Motherboad not being able to keep up, but I cant tell for sure, so if anyone of you fine folk has any idea what could be causing this, please let me know. Also I had to update my BIOS 3 times (bridge BIOSes) in order to support Ryzen Zen 2, so that might be a point too, and I didnt take the time to properly test the system with the 1200 still installed, tho it booted fast, also I can access BIOS like usual, with the only change being a missing Online BIOS upgrade option, not sure if that because I haven't plugged in the LAN cable yet, my pc is kinda cramed in a corner and I'd like to have a working back after all of this. Thanks for your support, I appreaciate it! System specs as follows, none of it made any problems thus far: Motherboard: ASRock AB350M Pro4Cooler: Noctua NH-D14CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 Windforce 3GB GDDR5 OverclockedPSU: Seasonic G550RAM: Vengeance LPX 16GB 4x4GB, running at 2400, 2133 for troubleshooting purposed and only 2 Sticks (8gb)SSD M2: Kingston 128GBSSD: Samsung 258GBHDD: 2TB 7.2k RPMWindows: 10 Pro
  5. https://imgur.com/gallery/VYobR Done, cable managment looks worse now, but the case will close without too much force, so thats a plus Pretty happy with the components and no overheating even und 100% load ^.^ Thanks for the help guys Btw: is there really protective plastic on the ram? then ill have to take them out again
  6. Aight, thank you very much! Changed 1300x to 1200 and the case to CoolerMaster Silencio 352. As far as I can see everything will fit inside this case too right? Don't want to make a supid mistake now before ordering. Read online that the Elite is pretty horrible when it comes to cable management and I can see why... Thanks for you're fast responses tho!
  7. Hey guys! This is my first post on LTT so pls don't hate when I'm doing something wrong So I recently decided to look into a ~500€ Gaming PC and up with a machine about 700€ but yeah^^ I've got all my parts so far and just wanted someone to look over them and tell me if it is a good idea. Amd ryzen 3 1300x Gigabyte GeForce GT N1060WF2OC 3GD 1060 Graphics Card [3gb] Asrock 90 MXB520 A0UAYZ Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz Seasonic G-Series Focus Gold 550W 80Plus Top Seagate Barracuda 3,5" Festplatte 2TB SATA III ST23000DM001, 7200RPM Cooler Master Elite 130 I have 2 M2 SSD's @128gb at home, one of them should contain Windows, so I don't worry about that right now. Both will be installed on the motherboard, so I got 2x 128 SSD and 1x 2TB HDD Already own Peripherals so that won't hinder me either. Planning on OC the Ryzen but not sure if I'll do that right away since I got no experience, might consider a new cooler then as well. Thank you for your feedback, appreciate it! Best regards Dennis
