My friend just gave me a new GPU, and the fan turns on but no display shows up. I currently have a 8400gs and it works fine. It also get extremely hot just booting up, I’m not sure what the problem is. I have a 700 watt power supply so that’s not the problem. It has a i5 760 and some intel mobo.

I am not sure of which GTX 1060 to get for my gaming computer. I want to be able to manually overclock it while still keeping it cool, I also don't want it to be ridiculously expensive.

I have been trying to compile a list of parts that are good for moderate gaming. I do not need hard drives or a power supply or peripherals or a case, I already have them from an old computer(700watts). You might want to upgrade to 16 gigs of ram so that it will be up to date longer. And it should be above minimum requirements for most games
