  1. Ok. The only other concern is that my CPU cooler is an NH-D15 so I'm not sure if mounting my rad in the front as intake (the only available spot if I go 240mm) will severely impact temps. I've seen some videos where they've discussed how a front mounted CPU AIO causes increased GPU temps so I imagine this will also be a problem for my CPU in this case?
  2. Alrighty then thanks for that. If I want to run my Silent Wings 3 fans @ like 800 rpm though then I imagine I'll probably have to lean towards 240mm?
  3. I'm going to be mounting a CLC to my 1080ti FE w/ the G12 bracket. Just wondering if there is really any point in paying the extra $30 or so to go from a H60 or H75 to something like an H100i v2? I've noticed that practically everyone who does choose to cool there GPU using an AIO liquid cooler chooses to use a single rad AIO rather than something like an H100i which is why I'm asking if there is a considerable thermal improvement to be had from the increased rad size. Thanks!
  4. Hi all. I was just trying to remove one of the small screws on the back of my EK GPU water block that secures the back plate to the PCB... and I STRIPPED IT! I've tried all the guides online- using a rubber band etc. The once perfect 4 lines for the Phillips head screw are now mushed into a circle Does anyone have any experience with getting these out? I've watched quite a few videos online but they all involve rough methods that wouldn't be suitable on a GPU.
  5. @For Science! @PETRGangKing In terms of a hypothetical scenario, would I see any benefits to getting a 120mm rad to use as exhaust in the back of my case? The only thing with a 240mm rad is I'd have to remove the moduvents from my Define R5 and I'm not the biggest fan of that look.
  6. Yeah I'm getting high 50s. My CPU also ran super hot with my prev NH-D15. I've double checked voltage etc and everything seems fine.
  7. I bought the a240g kit as my first dabbling w/ watercooling. The 240mm rad is not enough to cool my 1080ti/7600k suitably with CPU temps in the mid 70s with a fan curve that I find optimal (1200rpm under load). As such I'm looking at getting an additional rad. They sell 120mm/240mm aluminum rads on the EK site. However, a local store has the 120mm rad for a pretty good price- but I'm not sure that getting the 120mm would suffice in dropping temps? Would you advise that I get the 120mm or fork out a bit more cash and then get the 240mm? I assume by adding another 240 rad I could probably even run the fans a bit lower due to the added SA for heat dissipation?
  8. I've heard that the Silent Wings 3 fans are also super quiet. Do you have any exp with them?
  9. Sup guys. I got 4x EK Vardar 120mm fans today for my 2x 240mm rads for my new setup. Heard they were pretty good and although temps are really nice I don't really like their noise profile. Past 1000 rpm they hum and are too loud for my taste. I don't think there's anything wrong with them- that's just a characteristic of the specific fan. The store said I could bring them back and swap them out for another fan so I've been having a look online. For my silence is almost as important as cooling performance so am naturally inclined towards something like the NF-F12. I would realllllyy appreciate some suggestions. I know noise can be suggestive but I think my experience with the Vardar's might be a good reference point. Thanks!
