I think that what you put there is the sweetest spot there is now, but i don't think the Aorus M has something to update the bios without the cpu. If you don't already have the means to do that then go for a Msi board which supports bios flashback with the button or ask Amd for the kit with the athlon 200ge. Oh and i wouldn't go for that ssd, i don't know about the generale consense but my brother had one and it kept freezing his pc

Neither is a bad choice, it's all personal preference. There is no best switch, what you like, I may not like and vice versa. I personally like non-clicky, heavy, tactile switches like MX Clears, but that doesn't mean you'll like them.

Basically, we can't tell you which one you'll like, only you can find that out by testing them.

Why are you pairing an i5-8400 non OC non-K chip with a Z series motherboard? You're either holding back the CPU, or you're wasting money with an unnecessarily expensive motherboard.

Spec-wise this beats the hell out of the Xbox one X.

However I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this power supply you chose. It's junk.

Overall, this build is very high end, and should not recieve many hiccups when gaming/working related tasks.

And just like how @Zando Bob & @VinZie said, more RAM would be nice due to the stuff that you might be accomplishing (creating games, etc.).

Only if gaming is the primary use case. Anything else and the 1800X and Threadrippers will nuke the 8700K. And the gaming difference at 4K is non-existent.

Just a general comment, for gaming 8GB is fine. If you are going to do content creation of any sort (video editing, programming, serious writing, modeling, CAD) you need at least 16GB. I have been living with 16GB and feeling cramped for the last couple of years - lots of swapping memory to SSD which slows things down horribly during edits and complies, or building a model. Even a slower processor will not be as constraining as not enough memory if you are actually using the memory you have. Remember Windows by itself will use 3-5GB of your memory, and it will try to keep 10% free for growth. So you really only have ~2.5-5GB of a 8GB system to run in and many of the content creation tools run better with more memory. I mostly program and the development environments I use eat between 6-10GB of memory depending on what I am doing and how many debugging threads are running.

Thanks so much for joining. My vision is a community based on positive member interaction and helping each other. I believe that if we all work together toward this goal, we will have success in the long run.
We don't have official forum rules or anything like that yet, but as long as everyone is respectful of each other, and patient with the growing pains that we are going to experience (vBulletin 5 is VERY beta right now) we can make this into an AWESOME community forum.
