  1. Hey ya'll, So I recently purchased a ROG GL503VD. I've updated all of the drivers/bios; however, I'm coming across a problem. The screen freezes up for a few seconds and the it also turns black (almost as if windows refreshes itself) for a few seconds every so often as well. I've researched for a few days but I can't find anything about it and all the solutions that seem similar to my problem have not worked. Specs: Intel i7 7th gen @ 2.80 16GB ram Nvidia gfx 1050 4gb ddr5 1tb hdd
  2. I’m not necessarily looking for a gaming laptop. I just want something mainly for school and day to day things with light-med gaming on the side. Preferably something that won’t throttle up after just an hour
  3. Hey guys! So I’ll be starting school (mostly online) and I consider myself to be a light gamer (Overwatch, pubg, league). I know these aren’t very taxing games but I do tend to lose track of time when I’m playing. I have a fairly mid-heavy habit of multitasking. Probably the biggest thing with it would be portability and battery life because I will be mostly using it for school whether it be at home or on the go. I don’t mind taking the charger with me if the laptop is small enough though. I have a budget of $1000 usd and I’m not looking for anything too crazy. Just want at least a 6th gen i5 and something that won’t start throttling when I play a game for few hours at most. Sorry for the long post!! Thanks everyone
  4. I’m not too particularly picky over the two, but I do value the multitasking as much as my gaming needs. I don’t necessarily play heavy games, mainly just for long periods of time like grinding out League of Legends or OW. I’ll probably look into more mobo’s like the one you suggested and try to fit 6gb into the gpu! Thanks for all the suggestions!!
  5. It wouldn’t throttle from multitasking then?
  6. I do like that case too, I’ll keep that in the books!
  7. Didn’t know you could get an os from reddit! Haha good to know! I like that build, is there any difference between a full atx and micro other than size?
  8. Ooh okay! Well to be honest I was hoping it’d be somewhere between 500-700.
  9. Hey guys, so this is my 1st build so any recommendations are welcome! Im aiming for a somewhat budgeted computer that’ll have light-medium gaming(league, overwatch, steam, etc),school, multitasking, and just day to day capabilities. Here’s one that I’ve built on pcpartpicker. Any changes that’ll lower the cost, recommendations, etc?
