  1. I managed to figure it out. I took off the CPU cooler and the thermal paste was on pretty thick. Its possibly I over estimated how much of the Noctua NT- H1 Thermal paste I needed. I cleaned it all off, used some rubbing alcohol to clean off the cpu and the water block and I am now seeing around 36 - 40 degrees Celsius idle. This was roughly were I expected it to be with a H100i V2. Thanks everyone for their input.
  2. Yea I will do that tonight when I get home and test. hopefully i can resolve it because until i can figure this out I cant begin to do any type of overclocking.
  3. I updated to the most recent Bios ver 1001 last night as well. No changes in temps. I am hoping its as easy as reseating the CPU cooler.
  4. I have the ROG Strix X370 Gaming F Motherboard. I cleared my CMOS last night. I will try to reseat the cooler tonight to see if there are any changes.
  5. Hi everyone, I recently built a Ryzen 1700x system. Currently I am running into an issue where I am using a Corsair H100i V2 for cooling but idle temps across all software programs like Ryzen Master, NZXT Cam Software among others are reporting the exact same temperatures of 55-60 degrees Celsius on idle. It was my understanding that Ryzen had a 20 degree offset but I am not seeing this to be true in my case. Starting up a game such as Assassins Creed Origins causes temps to pop up to 75 degrees. I am planning to clean the thermal past off my cpu and my H100i V2 and reseat my cooler to see if that is the issue but based on what i have found my temps seem higher. I thought posting here might allow me to gain a little more insight into possible solutions. I should note that I have installed the most recent bios and everything is stock on my pc. Any help or ideas are appreciated.
