1. PC Part Picker for full system specs https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yPGpLP Hi everyone! Hoping you can help me out, I currently have my system's RGB as a random rainbow so I decided to attempt to control the RGB on my RAM (SPECTRIX D41 DDR4 RGB, it's the TUF GAMING ALLANCE version), since I now want everything inside to be white. I proceeded to download XPG's own RGB software, after installation, I started getting a BSOD a few seconds (around 15) after logging in. Thinking maybe their software was bad I proceeded to download the Armoury Crate from ASUS, since the RAM is listed as Aura Sync compatible, but again after installation I got the same behavior. Is my RAM defective? Or am I missing something here? The error from the BSOD is consistently WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, it always happens a few seconds after I type in my windows password and the behavior only goes away once I uninstall the RGB software. The only piece of RGB on my computer is that RAM, I have some RGB fans but those are controlled via an external hub. Hope someone can tell me what's going on
2. Hi guys and gals! I'm looking to buy a new wireless card for my current desktop PC, I'm tired of buying USB adapters cause (at least from my experience) they eventually just die out and my current one is slowly but surely dying (it has refused to turn on for several minutes twice in the past few months). I don't need an amazing card just something that supports AC, this is my current one for comparison which has been working fine other than those 2 times that it refused to turn on: https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Archer-T4U-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B00D0AF3TA/ Would you have any advise on what to buy? I'm currently looking at these 2 but I have no idea which one is good (if any) https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Adapter-Wireless-Interface-RNX-AC600PCEv3/dp/B00WV6SLLG https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Beamforming-Technology-Archer-T4E/dp/B07NFMSGGR/ I'm open to any suggestions <$40 if possible. Thanks for the help!
3. Would you recommend looking into a G-Sync monitor?

At the moment I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place unable to decive between 1080p @ 120hz or 1440p @ 60hz. What would you recommend? Is G-Sync something I should look into with this GPU?. I play a bit of everything, I'm currently playing: Destiny 2 Monster Hunter World Overwatch (mainly comp but I'm not high tier nor that serious about it) Hitman Doom (I'll play the new one on release) Skyrim
5. All my games are in my SSD, I just use that drive as a scratch disk or for music/video storage
6. I'm getting some pretty rare stutters in several games, I've noticed them mostly in witcher 3 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/330013886?t=44s You can see a few after I run after the river and when I start swimming in the lake These aren't dropped frames in the stream, I'm getting them on my screen Any idea on what might cause them? 7. Just found this MSI on discount in newegg, £939 as per google https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154791
8. As per google this seems to be about 50 punds over your limit, haven't been able to find anything else so far Although I just noticed this is 4k and you wanted 1080p https://www.amazon.com/RAZER-Blade-15-Smallest-i7-8750H/dp/B07HPQPNV1/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1541025708&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=razer+blade+15&refinements=p_n_feature_three_browse-bin%3A9647486011&psc=1
9. Have you considered the Razer Blade? It's around your price range (did amazon lookups and converted dollars to pounds via google) and while it isn't the most discrete in the market, it doesn't scream GAMER. Is getting a cheap work laptop and a midrange desktop not an option? Take it for someone who gamed in laptops for too long, desktops are just better in the long run.
10. Max was 62c with 100% power, I increased it to 105% and it's reaching around 65c-68c, although I've noticed that fans don't go above 60%, I was just wondering which would be the max temp advised to prevent any long term damage, since I'm planning on using this gpu for quite some time, once I know the max, which from what I can tell 75c is a pretty safe bet, I'll balance power and the fan curve to get a not too noisy system and the max overclock possible. At least that was my idea
11. My card is an EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti SC GAMING
12. I just barely touched it, I increased it to 105% and I'm letting afterburner control the fans (which are hitting 65% ish max) but these settings gave me enough for a small overclock. Any max temp you would recommend? Is 75 C safe?
13. Will increasing the Power Limit and clocks of the core and memory cut down on the lifespan of my card? Or will this only be caused if I try to increase the voltage? This is assuming that I always stay within safe temps on both cases (<75 C) Thanks!
14. Lol, I just had one laying around from a somewhat old laptop that died so I decided to add it, couldn't hurt xD
15. I was planning on buying a gtx 1080 soon but now I'm not sure if I should buy a 1070ti and use the extra budget on something else like a more decent hdd or a nicer keyboard (see pcpartpicker link below). Is the extra money for the 1080 really worth it for gaming only? Also which brand would you recommend? I was thinking about Asus or EVGA but their prices are usually somewhat higher than other companies like Zotac or MSI, are they worth it? It should be noted that I plan on getting a 120 hz monitor soon after the gpu, I play a little of everything but I'm currently playing lots of Overwatch and Monster Hunter World. Current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ytTYWD Thanks for the tips
