  1. You may wanna head to this forum instead. There are lots of talk about repasting there. http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/asus-zephyrus-m-gm501-owners-lounge.815303/page-29 I'm not sure about that because I think every region has different configurations.
  2. For no. 3, I don't have a UHD TV/Monitor so I wouldn't know But, I'd advice you not to play demanding games like The Witcher 3 on a laptop this thin. Not unless you've pushed the undervolting as low as you can, apply good thermal paste and pads, and making sure your room is cold before starting your laptop because it can get warm fast under load. Mine is a 1060 variant and I undervolted mine to -100v without a repaste (yet). I played games like TF2, World of Tanks Blitz and Fortnite with G-Sync enabled and on high settings. All of which are well-optimised and pretty light games. I noticed my temps (cpu and gpu) were hovering around 54 - 68°C max. Repasting and playing in a cold environment would improve these temps but, don't expect it to decrease any more than 10°C. Surface temps did get a little warm for me. Best part about this laptop is that you can switch between G-Sync and optimus very easily and the screen is just beautiful. Not Macbook or 4k beautiful but vibrant. One negative would be the placement of the charging port which is pretty annoying if your plug is on the right side. I would say that this is the better choice compared to the GS65 and Aero 15x because both of them have either worser build quality or temps according to other users and reviews. Hope this helps!
  3. You actually can colour calibrate your laptop's panel. Notebookcheck has already provided the ICC profiles for the Asus and Gigabyte. Lots of tutorials on YouTube if ya need to learn how to do it. The Aero 15x does not have space for a hard drive btw. You're limited to a Toshiba 512GB NVME SSD which you may or may not wanna change because it's roughly 37% slower than the Samsung SSD on the GM501 and possibly the GS65.
  4. It kinda is? Idk, apparently it has it's own category called "G7". It's also about $1200 for the highest spec model which has an i7-8750H, 16GB RAM and 1060 MAX-Q 6GB. I can't guarantee the IPS panel is colour accurate or that it has a 4k panel option in the future though.
  5. That's not the only difference though. Blue keyboard instead of red and it's 200g lighter (2.63kg) than the 7577 (2.85kg) according to their website. Dell is taking a long time to make gaming laptops that are lighter than 2.4kg.
  6. Which is why I'm a little concerned. Like, how big a of a deal is its imperfect scaling
  7. IF I have a laptop with a 4K display, would programs and applications scale correctly or would they have blurry texts after you scale them? For example, programs like Photoshop would have blurry texts on higher resolution displays when scaled correctly. Are there any other issues I would face with a 4K display on a 15.6 inch laptop?
  8. Sooo don't get anything that doesn't have G-SYNC?
  9. What about 4k panels? I would decrease the resolution and play in 1080p but, I'm not sure if it will tear.
  10. How does one know it's a bad screen and what are bad screens?
  11. I've seen videos where laptops with Optimus causes screen tearing/input lag in games. Should I avoid those laptops and go for laptops with G-SYNC?
  12. We all know that the 7577 has a 4k panel variant for one of its model as well as the XPS 15. However, are they on par with each other?
  13. I noticed that the Omen screens have some flex when you press on it. Is that a big deal when you're putting it with other stuff in your bag?
  14. Thanks for your input! Battery life is definitely something to consider.
