  1. EVGA percision was giving me crazy frame rate drops and horrible input lag. Maybe try turning that off completely?
  2. all good. everyone assumed i just wanted more cores, but hyperthreading is the main goal behind all of this hahaha
  3. dream will ensue in a few weeks! no problems with that board so far?
  4. no 6600k to 7700k for hyperthreading mostly, things outside of gaming, not just gaming, but sounds like i might as well just go for the 8700k
  5. ahhh okay. thats not bad at all actually
  6. yea I'm sad I didn't bite when they dropped a month ago. at this price point the extra cash for the mother board and the 8700k might be worth it because I would rather not buy used. I knew i would get every side of the spectrum on this. That motherboard would fit my build too haha.
  7. 1440p 144hz dropping down to medium settings to hit 144 in alot of games, but it doesnt look horrible
  8. okay so i guess you answered my other question of if its even worth it. i will probably just sit on it and put the money else where
  9. but then i have to buy a new motherboard too haha, didn't even asnwer my question.
  10. Looking to upgrade my 6600k soon to a 7700k. I currently have an MSI Z170 Gaming M5 board. My question is, what, if anything will I be missing out on if i don't have a Z270 board? Any overclocking problems or stability issues known? If I'm better off buying a new board, I will probabaly just wait a few more weeks and get an 8700k and a Z370 board to go with my 1080ti i got back in November.
  11. 16gb of ram and it works fine for me. I hope they aren't telling more people this.
  12. make sure its lined up right in the middle. there's s a tiny pin that sinks into a little notch on the bracket.
