Card's a Biostar, GPU-Z doesn't know what to say regarding it. So it likely takes it off from Asus.

I'd get some other brand. Panel wise VA i'd only go for Samsung one otherwise IPS yeah. As their at least works better, less smearing. Changing gamma mesess up image.
But, as far as fps games and especially online ones most don't support UW properly and some don't at all. Like CS, OW, Valo so 16:9 would be better.

Then I wouldn't worry. CoilWhine is completely normal in PSUs, GPUs and even some Monitors.
Its just power going through coils that makes them vibrate.  Its not dangerous or harmful in any ways, its just annoying.
If you are able to record the noise that would be awesome, so I can tell if its proper coilwhine or something else.

Not as bad as you’d think/see. There’s a “grommet” around a PCB so screws and such don’t mess it up.  If the rust is THAT bad… never seen it?

AllaboutBudget reacted to Jurrunio in Need your opinions!
That's cheap even in the US, just see if it works and buy it if it does. It probably needs repasting on top of cleaning so expect some work to be put into it, especially if the screws are rusted inside you will need to replace them as well.

You could estimate the level of corrosion to the components by looking at the solder points, as long as those are still intact the rest will be fine.

I would at least try to see if it works before buying. Load GPU-Z and see if it's identified as legit, and if the seller and you have time for it run a short benchmark. If you buy before seeing it working and it doesn't work, the seller could still ignore you even though they say they give you a few days warranty.

Once you've seen it working I would definitely buy it, clean it and maybe also replace thermal paste (warranty is probably void anyway).

One thing to check is if it's 3gb or 6gb. If it's 3gb and the others are 6gb that's why it's cheaper. The 6gb one is about 10% faster.

I can't attest for the quality of the G331's; however I have the g432 which I bought to replace my failing g930. I'm very glad I bought them on sale, the sound is very hollow and tinny to me.  They work, but I don't use them. I found they are also very tight on my head, whereas the g930's were great to wear and had very good sound. My suggestion, increase the budget and only buy higher end logitech's, or hopefully someone can recommend a higher quality set around the same price if you want to stay around that budget. Or buy them from somewhere that you can easily return if you aren't happy with them.

Seems like the 560 is working fine for now, so it really doesn't make sense to upgrade at this moment when the market is so messed up.

considering that you have overclocked it for a year now, higher chances that its just a coincidence. as we all know overclocking cuts the tail end of the product's life.
if I were you, ima leave it on stock since its just a mild OC

you take your pc to the repair shop and it works right up the first time the repair man tests it and when you come home it doesn't work again. so basically you paid 20$ for the repairshop to plug your computer

you have 15$ left on your pocket and you dont know wtf to do anymore

Just to let everyone know, the reason behind my used parts choices is because of the budget builds the youtubers put out.

And yes, I have done a lot of researxh about used parts and know the risks of it. But yea, this is my 3rd pc build. The past 2 builts I have done from used parts were a success. Even earning some money flipping it around.

I have also researched a LOT, like all the threads relating to my problem.

As for the eletrical fault in my house, testing it in my grandma's place gives the same result.

As for the psu, when I got the pc working from restting the cmos 1 time, I did stress the pc enough to consume lots of watts and try making the psu crash but it did not. I know it is not a baseline to know if a psu is defevtive or not but hey, it kinda makes sense.

Yes, I know my problem. Some would say why not keep some parts from the past builds. Well, I needed some money for better parts so I ended up selling almost all of it.

You know, young mind, young thoughts, inexperienced decisions. Maybe some time in the future I will have enough money for them extras ya know!

It could be the motherboard, power supply or graphics card.
That motherboard was manufactured when i built my first PC,considering it's age i wouldn't be surprised if it's the problem.

There's a reason why 99% of computer users prefer to buy prebuilt PCs or go with Apple. It's the same reason why people prefer to pay a plumber to deal with simple tasks such as replacing a siphon: they need it to "just work" and have no interest in the inner workings of computers and sinks, let alone how to customize them.

I'm sorry you had such a bad PC building experience. Unfortunately, that's always a risk when you DIY anything. If you can't accept that and have no way to deal with it when it occurs, you may be better off with a prebuilt.

Also, fuck used hardware. Always some problems with it.

hardest thing about being new is not having test parts.
I got enough DDR2-DRR4, 4 video cards, some 10 working boards+CPUs and a few spare PSUs so I can test any single part

    Cheers,

I would advice you to test the 570 in another system too see if it behaves the same but judging by your first post it doesn't seem to be possible. It might be that the GPU is shot, if it was tested on another system and displayed the same behavior there that would be a clue.
If you put it in the slot and connect it, you power on the PC. The display will remain black and the PC will restart? No beeps? No nothing?

Well I tried to find some info about your motherboard. It appears that it only has PCIe 2.0 x4 and 570 prefer 3.0 or above but I'm not sure if that may be the reason of your problems either..... I can't remember what cards used 2.0 bus but regardless as far as I know the card should work even if it is limited by the bus.. Tell you what, try tagging some of the folk that replied to the thread earlier and ask them what they think (put a @ and start typing their usernames).

Can you simply post a link to the thread here?

If the 570 worked at the shop but not when you came home I suspect that due to transport it may have gotten loose from the slot, did you try removing it and putting it back in the slot and make sure the power cables are nice and snug at both the video card and power supply end?

+1 for truth. Never give up. If you feel you can't fix it and you want to give up, just take a break. Go for a walk or anything that may help you clear your mind. When mind is clear go back and keep trying. Eventually you'll solve it but it's much easier with a clear mind.

I built my first computer almost 20 years ago and it was total crap, unstable, barely worked, was awful because I picked all the wrong parts. I've built many since and each time I've gotten better at making sure I get good parts, making sure I route cables nicely, making sure everything is stable and working properly together. I still mess up, but mostly it's software things now. I've been using Linux for almost 15 years now and I still break it all the time. Each time I mess up a learn a little more to dig myself out of the hole easier next time. Little by little I've gotten better. Not gonna lie, money really helps.

I won't lie, I got really frustrated with my build when I first built it. (Not powering on due to dead psu, improperly wired front io, possibly incompatible or dead RAM)
but as the cliche saying for everything:
