  1. Same, D2 is one of my most played games. If I straight up can't play it on Ryzen 3000 I gotta consider switching back
  2. Hi all, Was wondering if anyone has received the BIOS update yet that fixes Destiny 2 not launching on Ryzen 3000 platforms, and if so what motherboard you have from which manufacturer? Or if anyone is running Ryzen 3000 but doens't have issues running Destiny 2? And if so how they did that? Thanks in advance
  3. Yep thats the problem I assumed all x470 boards were ryzen 3000 ready for some reason. Thank you!
  4. DietrichW just mentioned here he had a x470 board with a 'Ryzen 3000 ready' sticker
  5. It did not have a sticker, maybe thats why I was confused. some x470 boards come ryzen 3000 ready, I assumed mine did aswell. Im gopnna try the update, thank you for the respone.
  6. Well my B350 wouldnt let my Gskill trindent sticks go faster than 3000Mhz, so was planning a mobo update anyway.
  7. Accidentally posted, was still editing. Was just about to ask that. Im so stupid. But what if someone doesnt have access to an older ryzen chip, theyre just effed?
  8. Hi all, EDIT: okay im an idiot and wasted my whole day for nothing. I had this silly idea in my head that x470 was good to go out of the box, based on a vague chart I saw somewhere. Thanks for the quick, judgement free responses everyone! TL;DR: Do I need a bios update on my Asus Prime x470 Pro before it will work with my Ryzen 7 3700x? So I just recently made the leap from Ryzen 5 1600x to Ryzen 7 3700x. I bought an Asus Prime x470 Pro (On sale, so way cheaper than x570 for me, plus dont like the idea of an active fan, also I personally think all x570 boards within my bidget were ugly - and I'm a sucker for esthetics. Also don't have a use for pcie gen 4 personally) I excitedly finished the build today, to then meet a 'No Display Port Signal' screen. I started troubleshooting. Ram configs, other gpu's, triple checking everything. Then I decided to put my 1600x back in, and everything worked, loaded bios just fine. I decided my 3700x came factory bricked, but only now realise like the complete idiot I am that maybe I just needed a bios update. Can anyone confirm this? I thought I read somewhere that x470 should just be ready to go with ryzen 3000 out of the box, but I may have read that wrong. I know I'm an idiot for not thinking about this sooner, please dont flame me senpais. Thanks in advance.
  9. Holy shit I just spent 2 hours with this exact issue, also the same exact motherboard. Why would there be different drivers for the exact same mobo in a different color?! I'm hecking peeved. Anyway your post just saved me from another couple of hours of frustration, thank you. I can't believe it was something so stupid...
  10. Oh, but that only works with Asus motherboards I assume? I have a MSI b350 tomahawk, will msi mystic (or whatever it's called) work?
  11. Hi, I recently got me some juicy RGB RAM as mentioned in the title, but as of yet I haven't messed around with RGB control software as I read on some forums that the software from G-Skill itself might corrupt your sticks in some way. My question is whether if anyone has tany experience with this software and if they've had any problems or if it's safe. I've had the standard rainbow effect on for a couple of months now. Sure it's pretty but I'd like some customizeability. Thanks in advance!
  12. Already bought it I'm afraid, not having trouble with temps or noise though. Everything stays nice and cool as well. I do have to reconfigure my fans though because I seem to be pulling in a lot of dust...
  13. Ooh okay because the positive pressure in the case essentially pushes the air through there as well? (thermals are complicated ). I'll try mounting the 2 fans that came with the case at the top and see what happens. I was originally planning to mount one at the top, one at the rear with the radiator in the front.
