Hey guys, I recently started receiving this error when i boot the PC "Failed to initial phone control API". anyone know what it means? Im not sure what info you guys may need so im using an ASUS z270 with an i7 7700. i dont think this mobo has bluetooth but it might. i never use it if it does.
-
cool, then ill set it to work for a few hours while im out of the house tomorrow. a little bummed the ASUS software was off by that much. im installing a GRID v2 in a couple of weeks so its nice to find out the CAM is accurate though. thanks for the help mi amigos
-
how long can the i7 7700 run at these temps? iv got a lot of m4vs to convert lol
-
HWinfo is saying my cores are around 81-83...all about 16C away form TjMAX. nothing is throttling though, so theres that. it is telling the power limit is exceeded, not sure what that means though. BIOS setting?
-
im leaning towards the Asus being the more accurate one. The CAM cpu sensor is going all over the place while the Asus is showing it to be a bit more stable, and the eyeballs agree with the stability lol
-
Im currently converting some M4V files to MP4 and recently downloaded CAM to go with my Hue controller im getting for christmas. iv always used the Asus Fan expert software and found it pretty reliable. While monitoring CAM, i decided to pull of Asus and found a full 10 degree difference. Anyone know which software is more trustworthy?

my mother in law order a 2 in 1 with atom processor and the company sent her 2 by mistake. she gave me the extra as i was looking for a replacment for my ipad and love the idea, but damn it was borderline useless for simple tasks. Went out and bought an hp spectra to replace it. i wouldn't go near the atoms tbh. im genuinely excited about about WoA. RT was a beautiful trainwreck so hopefully they learn from the past and put out a cool product.. -
Recently found out what the LTT intro song was...now im on a binge lol

looks like this project is going to be a bust lol. a friend came out and looked at my desk and deemed far beyond his capabilities to handle. the xbox also just got put behine my tower hooked up a small hdmi switch so i can play on my monitors. oh well, it was a fun idea while it lasted lol
-
i just ordered this case as well. we will be perfectly ok with fans. im personally installing the grid v2 and hue+ controllers along with it. found some great deals on ebay. order away my friend!

So this just transformed into something a bit bigger lol. My case wont fit the xbox mobo and thats fine. My wife has a friend who's boyfirend is a carpenter. hes coming over this weekend to look at my desk and talk about modifying it with a glass top and boxing in the under panel (much like LTTs pc desk case mod video) then ill do all wire routing and air flow stuff. this route will allow the xbox, pc, and ps4 into one housing. totally unnecessary, but should be cool as hell.

is the latency due to windows accessing a mac or just due to distance? im asking because over thanksgiving, i had to access my desktop from my laptop (using my iphones wifi tethering option) and i was able to work negligible lag. hung up just a couple of times over a 2 hour session. i didnt try a game or anything, so if thats what o/p is asking about, i withdraw myself from this conversation. edit: i was about 300 miles from my desktop

gracias guys. ill report back here with any updates should i decide to do this or not. i think itll be a fun project.
-
i think ill grab a busted xbox and tear it up and see what im dealing with. i like this idea more and more lol. i could do a huge wall mounted system as well......my wife is gonna kill me lol
-
i should add that i know a lot of xbox games support play anywhere, this is more of "i thought of it now i wanna try it" kind of project. not a need to kind lol.
