Looking for budget mechanical keyboard, any suggestions?
Paroxy replied to Lotinsh's topic in Peripherals
Agreed. I'm pretty sure Linus and Bitwit have both done videos comparing various cheap-o, no name keyboards from Amazon. Some KBs were decent, some where terrible. -
Seeing those prices is very interesting tho. They are very close to FE prices after currency conversion.
-
No Founders Edition unfortunately. OP was looking for FE.

Approx $0.75 on the dollar right now, so it will be 25% more. Which isn't too bad. If you compare NewEgg US vs CA pricing a lot of products are higher then 25% more. I call it the Canadian Tech Tax. I'm planning on buying the 3070 FE ($500 USD) when it's released so I'm budgeting for $700 CAD.
-
I thought the FE versions are normally only available directly from nVidia. I did do some research on this and others have reported that traditionally Canadians can order from nVidia's website. There is a $50 shipping charge and they charge local taxes (HST, GST, etc.).

If you're using a GPU installed in a PCI-E slot there is no way to increase the VRAM from the BIOS. If you're using onboard graphics then we'll need to know the manufacture and model number of your motherboard. Which CPU you have the amount of RAM you have would be very helpful too.

Sorry for not checking back. Did you figure something out? I was thinking you may want to reset the bios to it's default settings and see what you get. -
I say 3600 is the way to go, but you don't want to go any faster then that. The 3600 Vengeance LPX modules I got were pretty inexpensive and have been solid performers.

That should be fine.

You only need 1 ARGB cable to connect the motherboard to the hub. It plugs into the top of hub like in that photo I posted earlier. I believe your motherboard only has 1 ARGB header any ways. Then, each fan's ARGB cable will plug into either side of the hub. We aren't going to use the PWM feature of the hub because you want finer control of the fan speeds.

Disable XMP and let me know what happens. That board does not like memory faster then 2667 with a 1st gen Ryzen CPU. In fact they don't even list any modules faster then 2400 in their QVL for Summit Ridge CPUs. -
Yes and no. Each fan as 2 cables, a PWM cable and a ARGB cable. We are only going connect the ARGB cables from the fans to that Taobao hub, the SATA power cable, plus one more ARGB cable to connect the hub to your motherboard. We aren't going to connect the PMW cable from the hub to the motherboard. The 5 PWM splitter cables will connect to the 5 fan headers on your motherboard, and 2 fans each. You'll be able to control the fan speeds in groups of 2.

Can you post more details about your system? Motherboard, CPU, individual RAM module sizes & speeds, etc.
