  3. Hi, I have been having a problem with my PC for a couple of months, I get these really bad frame drops for about 10-20 seconds and then my game goes back to running fine. I have a gtx 1080ti paired with an AMD fx-8350, I know that CPU is not good to pair with it but i am trying to save up money to upgrade my CPU, motherboard and ram but it costs too much at the moment It never lagged this bad with the CPU, I only got lower frames than most people with a 1080ti but now in most games i just get this really unplayable lag and i want to know if there is something I can do to fix it. Because it will be a few months before I can even think of upgrading Here is an example of the lag and how it goes back to normal afterwards Usually it isn't this bad, I would get about 20-40 frames most times. But this is it at an extreme level, (Note, Was on Fortnite with only one other player) But happens in every game I play Computer Specs MOBO: MSI Gaming 990FXA-GAMING CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor. 4. Hi, I was using my computer today and I was listening to music, Suddenly the music stops and my computer says that the internet was plugged out (i was using a phone hotspot with usb) and then it re-connected itself and then I continued to listen to music and my headset lets off a very loud glitchy type sound and keeps doing it every few seconds. And then whilst that was happening my keyboard and mouse just shut off, I tried unplugging and plugging back in the keyboard mouse and headset but they had all just stopped working, no lights or anything. I had restarted my computer and the headset was still making glitching sounds but my keyboard and mouse were working. after changing my audio to the speakers from the headset and then back, There is no more glitchy sounds coming from the headset but as i am typing this my internet is disconnecting and re connecting over and over. If anyone knows what is the issue please help Computer Specs MOBO: MSI Gaming 990FXA-GAMING CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor. 8. Hello. I have recently starting having a problem with my internet on my computer. I use a wired connection on my computer but for when i am at someone else's house I use my wifi adapter and for when my internet is down or turned off I use my USB tethering hotspot from my phone. Recently my phones charging port had stopped working so i could not usb thether for internet. I decied to use the wireless charging on my phone while having the mobile hotspot on, My plan was to pick up the hotspot connection using my wifi adapter but it didnt work. My wifi adapter could not find either my house internet or my phone internet, Also my phone's usb port had starting working again a few days ago and the usb tethering still doesnt work. It says that it is connected to "Network 5" but there is no internet access The picture below is the Troubleshooting report i had done for two of the issues. (Also put in the device manager showing the two devices.) I do not have the wifi adapter plugged in when this picture was taken but right after i put it in and it didnt pop up, It usually came up with the yellow triangle error. I'm not sure what the problem is but I would appreciate some advice before i end up having to reinstall windows Thank you
  9. UPDATE: I found out the problem for if anyone has this issue. I took out the 16gb ram and put in 8gb, It could be the slots or something but it just worked when i took out the other 8gb.
  10. I know that it is a stupid pair but its temporary until i can afford a intel cpu, I think i down clocked it by putting it on the Silent profile, The boost clock is down 25MHz and the Memory clock is down 90MHz
  11. I did get this message with my old card (gtx 560ti) only sometimes though. But it did happen a good few times over the year and a half I had it. Could it maybe be a motherboard problem? I don't know much about troubleshooting so I don't know if that sounds stupid or not .
  12. I don't have the money at the moment to upgrade to Windows 10. Spent the budget on the 1080 ti haha. But yeah I will try to get older drivers. Thank you
  13. Hi, I recently bought a gtx 1080 ti strix by asus for my birthday and I also got a new case so i moved all my parts from one case to the other on the 30th of October hoping that i could play it on my birthday the day after. But when i first booted it, It wouldn't post. Then after an hour of troubleshooting it was the RAM that would not post for some reason, all i had to do was change which order i had them in. But when i was booted i realized that the performance in games are not what a 1080 ti should be. Like i was getting 20 frames on pubg on the lowest settings. So then after that i made a discovery that my computer was only letting me use 3.9gb of ram rather than the 16 i had in it. so after a good while of taking the ram out and putting it in a different place it finally showed the 16gb. But after playing fallout 4 on ultra settings 60 fps, my gpu started to crash and give me an error saying "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" here is an image of the error (found off google) I think i have all up to date drivers, I have even reinstalled my windows and formatted my ssd in case there was a virus in it. I am running out of options and i really hope that it is not the graphics card Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
