Your right, this is exactly what happened when the courts decided that glyphosate was cancerous in the face of evidence from just about every university, the FDA, the EPA and independent biologists from all over the world.  Not too mention all the testing and basic data on the subject and the fact there was evidence the plaintiff's lawyer had been trying to backmail Monsanto. Woo hoo justice...

Personally, the video's I watched where they tested the drives in various NAS boxes doing most of the common tasks we expect of a NAS, for me the rebuild time was a worthwhile concession for the extra storage per dollar.  Even the SMR drives int he consumer cuda's do not have enough of a real world impact to deter me from buying them knowingly.   Not everyone will feel the same granted, but given these drives have been in circulation for a while now and people are only just starting to realize after a blog from someone who had theirs fail,  I dare say majority of users were not impacted enough to be able to prove it in court.

Seagate's statements on NAS grade drives could be a large factor, and given that provable performance hit taken during rebuilds and that the change occurred so silently doesn't bode well for WD.  The fact is rebuilding on RAID's are a major feature (and given how badly this affected the performance in a crucial area of RAID, I think WD should be held accountable)...with that said, I think it will be all about WD trying to up playing the other benefits and claim it was a decision made.

Either way, I hope WD fails at this.

It's an automatic algorithm. So, if that is indeed a derogatory term, then it makes sense that it's filtered out. The system just looks at things that are considered derogatory and acts on them. If this was a person intervening and kicking the comments off, then it'd be worse.

I'd only really say this is a bad move if they uphold it now that they're made aware. Let's be real, I'm betting most of Google's employees aren't well versed in Mandarin/Cantonese. Saying that it's a conspiracy is a little much.

I used to hate diet sodas, but I saw this soda on saw at Safeway called “tab” and that’s my username on steam and all this, so I figured I gave it a try, figured out it was a diet soda with a cancerous sugar alternative (Literally has been proven to cause cancer) but I kept drinking it because I was pretty broke at the times and didn’t have the heart to throw it away, so I drank it all, hated it at first but when I got to the last of the 24 pack I started liking it and have been drinking That cancer water too this day.

It says the product is new, but it is a CPU only.   No box, no instructions, no heatsink, so that would have to be open box/not new.   Every other aspect of the listing is copy/pasta.   Then if you look at the seller's feedback it seems like they haven't even sold anything in over a year.   When you factor the super low price on top of all of that you realize it's a hacked seller.

Stock pastes are usually garbo, but usually will last.   The liquid doesn't last forever, but should last longer than that.  Stress tests tend to push the temps higher than any other activity, so seeing 90 something or higher in a stress test is expected   Also, do you ever dust/clean your pc?   https://www.hwinfo.com/download/ And, use this to monitor the temps while stressing.

Funny how their enthusiast stuff ends up being less upgradable than their consumer stuff. RAM upgrade for me is just take out the dozen of screws present, pry the cover off, and the slot is right there ready to be populated.

Well, some Apple laptops have keyboards that are known for failing.   Plus, ASUS/MSI/Apple and a few others have a lot of models that can be a pain to open and have a lot of soldered on parts that are difficult to swap out once they fail.
