Frankie got a reaction from don_svetlio in CSGO fps problem
@don_svetlio is definitely right, VS units are good for office PCs and that's about it. Go for PSUs he mentioned or something like a EVGA G2 550W would be also perfect.

Frankie reacted to Imakuni in i3-6100 temperature at 55°C
This isn't an exact science. You can't just look at the numbers to get a straight answer.
For example, ambient temps play a big role in this (not fair to compare a guy in Antarctica running at -40C to one in Ecuador running at +40C). The auto voltages established by your mobo might, and most likely WILL differ from other people's readings, either being better / worse depending on the mobo and chip. Another random thing is "full load". That's a complete BS term that means nothing at all. One might consider "full load" to be playing GTA V, another may say "full load" as encoding a video, someone else could mean "full load" is just AIDA64 or perhaps "full load" refers to Prime95 Small FTT (or large, which would by itself be a big difference). That's why we say: is it at about or below the 80s (90 is risky already)? Yes? Then it's fine. Don't worry about it and get back to live your life without thinking about this.

Frankie reacted to Sors in Dirtiest / Dustiest PC's You've Ever Cleaned!
I don't' really take pictures of the PCs I fix, but I had a hunch with this one:
When I told the client, he refused to accept that the problem was that the machine was dirty, and started blaming me for the issues of the PC, which he had bought somewhere else. So I showed him the picture.

Is the stock intel 775 CPU heatsink with the fan removed. Here's a picture after I cleaned it:

Frankie got a reaction from DJXelos in Core i5-5600k/Core i3-4150 same socket?
^^^
Just to add, you would also need new RAM. LGA1150 uses DDR3, LGA1151 uses DDR4.

Frankie reacted to suicidalfranco in Witcher 3 studio:"piracy was irrelevant"
While people are being sent to jail for imaginary crimes by the big studios, the developers over at CD Projekt Red, makers of the Witcher series, tell us a different story than what our corporates masters wants us to believe:
WUT???
So you're telling me that as a developers or publisher, if i am fair to the consumer and give them a good product, people will lean more toward buying mt stuff instead of pirating it? That i don't even need DRM stuff taking a toll on performance to see a positive income? That a pirated copy doesn't mean a lost sale?
NO WAY! The fat cats know what's the true right way of doing things, this guys are just being hippies /s

Frankie reacted to Jack Longman in How many Graphics cards can run off a 6700k?
6700k is more than capable to do 2 way sli, just make sure your power supply can handle it and you have a decent motherboard

Update:
I continued with a provisional mount of everything.
Mounted the motherboard tray again:
Tets fit of the four D5 pumps:
The first tubes were easy, tubes for pumps and VGAs are just straight tubes, much more demanding were the curved tubes:
If I just bent the tubes with my tool, the radius is too big, I had to improvise with bending by hand and things I've found:
After a few attempts...
... it fits:
After that I dissambled everything to assamble the waterplate itself
Test with Mayhems Pastel White
Leaktest for 20h, seems to leak out .
Yesterday I polished the tubes and today I shiped them to a get nickel plated.
Thats it for now :):)

I got the waterplate on friday, so I started cutting the case.
therefor I printed the final design and transfered the cutting edges and drill holes to to the Caselabs tray.
Before starting to cut with the angle grinder, another part must be removed.
Therefor I just need to drill some rivets.
The rough cuttings were done using the angle grinder, small cuts by Dremel.
last step: final shaping by using some files.
Fits:
I also give it a try in the case, fits very well and looks pretty cool.

That's some pretty nice cuts. Trust me, I know it's not easy. Gonna look great, I dig it.

Frankie reacted to Devlafford in Purple 980
So I painted my GTX 980 purple, and thought this was the kind of thing to share on the forum. I think it looks cool! I mostly followed the guide Linus had but I didn't have a paint booth, so I just used cardboard haha. I didn't break it!
