If you can run a cable directly, then do it. It's always the cheapest, fastest and most reliable ethernet link possible.
 
The key to good Wi-Fi is often better placement of your hardware, instead of buying new hardware.
I see lots of people that have their router burried in a corner or have the antennas pointing the wrong direction.
And if you are going to upgrade your Wi-Fi, then don't necessarily do it with a new router and instead get a dedicated access point, which you can hang somewhere high up onto the wall or the ceiling for better coverage.

Yeah it is, luckily we have a really long ethernet and just tried this hypothesis and its awesome. It seems the router is a bottleneck so think we will get some of those clips and a new router. Thank You for the help

i'll vote for iPads too.
Pure Spec sheets aside, how long you get Updates, the OS optimization (for the Tablet Formfactor), and the amount of Tablet-optimized Apps is a different League.
Plus a quite consistent Battery Life and Performance. I almost never felt any "strange slowdowns" or "strange battery drains". But i'll have to admit, i did have some app crashes once in a while.
 
You can find alternatives on Android for drawing, for digital note taking, etc.. But yea. Those above give the iPad a special user experience, since Google doesn't do anything for Tablets. It's basicly just Samsung (and Huawei), who built in their own UI-Software with some Tablet-features.
 
If you can wait 1-2 Months, there COULD be a new iPad 2020 (Entry model), and a new iPad Air 4 (probably with a Re-design).

I reckon if the s6 goes down to around the price of the s4 currently it will be okay as I'll get an additional 10 percent off of that price. 
 
I guess I need to wait and see what happens about tab s7 to see when the tab s6 comes down in price. 
 
The tab s6 does seem ideal give its amazing specs and s pen that seems to work really well, it's just the price which is off putting.

After doing my first year of uni I'm thinking of getting a tablet with a pen as a way of note taking in lectures. 
 
I am just wondering which one to pick. I have seen the new tab s6 lite which looks good but I'm unsure on how the chipset will hold up. Then I thought I could purchase the tab s6 when the s7 is released as I'd assume it's price would be decreased, I'm just not sure how we'll supported it will be in the future with software updates. 
 
I am also unaware of how the palm rejection is with these tablets. 
 
My main uses would be note taking at uni, browsing on Google, YouTube, Netflix and some occasional gaming, which makes the s6 lites price seem appealing. 
 
Does anyone have experience or the knowledge of which would be best for me?

Yeah thats true, once I get it I will set it up right away and see how I like it

Weird place to see them but my doctors uses them and they print loads of prescriptions so they must be good.
 
Only downside is no colour but oh well you cant win them all lol

It seems good from the reviews and the toner is cheap

I will have a look for some reviews, I found a cartridge for 20 quid which is 1800 sheets.

I too got terrible wrist pain when using the trackpad on one of my old laptops while mine was in for repair. I couldn't even use a door handle. 
When I got my new laptop, within a day or two the pain had gone and I've been perfectly fine ever since.
 
I also had issues when I was using a cheap Logitech K270 just after moving, but when I switched back to my Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000 it went away.
 
There's only two mice that I've used that haven't caused wrist pain, my MX Master, and a generic Dell Laser Mouse that I used at college

my uni laptop is only ryzen 5 but i guess i could play something like minecraft on the controller unless i decide to bring my pc too lol

A controller is much better I can confirm but at the moment I think im going to rest it completely

Ehhh you still want a decent compound, I use AS5 since it seems fairly stable in the long term from my history with it.

might have to invest then!, not sure how easy it is but i will see how it goes! Does the difference in bus speed of the processors matter with compatibility?

Yes there are you can read the news but there isn't any official confirmation that outright says "they will arrive this day"
 
you can wait if you want (I would) but sadly we don't know for sure that they are comming soon. There's just a bunch of rumors and "leaks" that claim augost is when they release new cards but like the guy above said they arrive in augost (or july 30th as latest information suggests) that's just GTX xx80 and xx70, GTX xx60 might land one month later (like the 760 and 1060) or 4 months later (like the 960) or even 5-6 months later (like the 660) it's quite hard to say

I just checked on newegg, all of the specific game deals or $20 steam cards seem to be for GTX 1070 and up, or Vega 56 and up. The rest seem to be Mail in rebates. Its definitely possible that they're are some deals out there but I wasn't able to locate them when browsing for 3 minutes.

So i removed my graphics card and im back online with integrated graphics. Do you think its salvageable or is it a goner? If so its been a great 5 years with the card.

amd will probably not have new cards for a hot minute but nvidia should have new cards soonish considering how long the 10 series has been out but they have been holding back since the crypto craze kept the demand high

I assume your motherboard doesn't have debug LEDs, but you could try finding a motherboard speaker (or maybe your mobo came with one) and plugging it in to hear the beep codes.
 
also, check the PSU first. I don't think it's dead, but make sure all connections are firmly secured, and if you have a modular PSU, make sure they're secured on BOTH ENDS. this issue caused me lots of pain about a year ago when I thought my CPU was dying, but in reality the CPU EPS 8-pin was loose on the PSU side of a modular cable.

Not sure if it is the same for you but when I once had this issue it was down to my killer network driver, i installed the latest version and all was fine.
