    Why do you need two motherboards? And I dont think that you will be able to start without a power supply

    Maybe contact AMD. There could be a fault in the processor.

    Are you sure it's not the fans? Turn them all off to make sure it's not them.

    I am making a gaming/productivity rig for a friend, he wants this Alienware PC, but I am trying to convince him otherwise, saying that I can build him a better pc for less. Any suggestions would be welcome. I am thinking of adding a Ryzen 7 1700X and an EVGA - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card

    I am thinking of building a computer for a friend, and I was wondering if this is an easy GPU to overclock. Also, can 1070's run 4K?

    It depend what price it is. If its really cheap, buy it, and if it doesn't work, then sell it again.
