Well... the warranty replacement came in today. Plugged it all in and everything seems to be working fine. Not a single word with the package. Lets see how long this one lasts.

Everything worked fine for like 3 weeks, and then out of the blue poof. I nearly shit myself when i heard that. I hope nothing else got fried, fingers crossed.

Hey guys. So my PSU kinda exploded, PC shutdown followed by a big pop. I'm was using a Corsair RM650,no overclocking. The Specs: Asus Maximus Hero VII Intel i7 4790K Asus GTX 780 DirectCU II OC 1 HDD & 1 SSD 8GB of HyperX RAM (2 sticks) Corsair H100i 5 Corsair Fans So was the RM650 not strong enough? If not then what would cause it to explode?

Hey everyone, Just put my build together! I've been running of the integrated graphics for a while now since I was waiting for my graphics card to arrive and today she's finally here!!1 I opened up my case, got her in there, connected the cables and..... things are working? The thing is when I boot up the PC it appears to turn the fans, LEDs and stuff on like usual but then it shuts everything down and powers up again. By the second time powering up it seems to boot up fine. Any clue on what is happening? Yea I get that, my problem was that some programs dont let me choose where to install it.

You mean leave a shortcut of the app folder in the Program Files folder?

Hey guys, I just booted my new rig for the 1st time and I installed windows 8 on my 120GB SSD. I was planning on having the SSD with windows, maybe a few applications and speed up the HDD with a cache? One problem i came across now is that the default directory on the install is on the SSD and some programs dont let you choose a custom directory. Is there anyway I can change the default path? Would apreciate some info or link to help me setup the cache as I'm not even sure what it means Thanks.

You're absolutely right! I guess their good marketing made me think they we're pretty good.

Well i ordered some parts already: Corsair Graphite 760T White Asus Z97 Maximus VII Hero WD Black 1TB SATA III 64MB HyperX 3K SSD 120GB Corsair Hydro Series H100i Corsair RM650W HyperX Beast DDR3-1600Mhz 2x4GB These went for about 900.00€, CPU and GPU left to order.

i7-4790K + GTX780 or i5-4690K + GTX780Ti? Build will mostly be used for gaming and image and vector work. Also, I have an Asus Z97 Maximus VII Hero. Should I get the ASUS GTX780 or the EVGA one which looks better IMO?

The store where i'm getting my parts from only has the 4790 and not the 4790K. Might not be available in Portugal.

I already ordered the WD Black, do you think it's really that much louder than the other ones?

Haha oh well... Best of luck to Italy. I guess I was letting myself get pulled by all the bling on linus videos I'll try to find a cheaper one then.
