  1. Good yes, perfect it's not. I'll be swapping it for another unit (same S2716DG G-Sync) as it has 1 dead pixel (constantly white) about 2x2" from the bottom left and 1 stuck pixel though extremely difficult to spot other than when using a Dead Pixel Spotting website. 1440p really means they don't stick out that badly, I just want something perfect. Dell's policy is that its covered, so I'll roll the dice and hope I don't get another panel with a dead pixel.
  2. Double Doh! I just bought a 1070 (339CAD) and a S2716DG (449.99CAD). Pulled the trigger a bit to quickly, I didn't realize the 2060 would be quite that competitive. Good deals none the less, just a little bummed, I nearly returned the G-Sync monitor thinking... wtf, I turn off G-Sync and I can hardly tell the diff so why not get a 144hz Samsung 1440p 32"... same price. I went back to check and the Sammy wasn't adaptive but only 60,120,144 selectable only. I have until tomorrow to return this monitor on BB 14 day return policy. Don't think I will though. After all the boxing day deals are done there are very few similarly priced freesync monitors that come close to the specs of the dell. Thinking out loud. I'm pretty sure a couple of you did the same black friday and boxing day.
  3. Makes sense. Plus I really enjoy RTS and Sims and my keyboard and mouse. Seems like a fair idea. Mind you it costs 210$ more to buy the 1070, a separate controller and Forza H 4. I'm curious if I keep the thing for the controller and Forza H 4 it makes the console 150$ value on its own as to buy those things separately its 50$ and 50$ .... that is if the Forza Horizon 4 that is BUNDLED does Play Anywhere. Makes me pretty tight on the budget considering Christmas season is next.
  4. Hi, I have an itchy black friday trigger finger. I bought too much for my budget. Help me decide. I managed to snag this deal for a Zotac GTX1070 Mini 8GB price matched to 339.99CAD or about 255$USD or 200GBP Because I didn't think I would get it as it was sold out for days and all over Ontario I blew the cash saved for it yesterday on a XBOne S 1TB with Forza Horizon 4 for 249.99 CAD and bought Farcry 5, GTA V, Battlefront II, The Crew 2, Gears of War 4, NFS Payback, NFS (2015) So which would you keep. Everything is still returnable. The GTX1070 or the XBOne S 1TB and a boat load of games, nearly identical cost. I have a GTX670 2GB on a i7-3770 currently and an XBOX 360. A cheap insignia 43" 4K ROKU TV and 2 1080p 60hz monitors. The 4k TV is on a 25 foot DP to HDMI 2.0 dongle and cable to the PC atm, runs in 1080p 60hz or 4k 30hz 4:4:4 that way due to the 670 hack I spent crazy time making work! It'll do the XBone 4k, 60hz and the 1070 4K 60hz (though I with dubious fps or settings) Have at it.
  5. PIA passes the test. Tunnelbear does now too as of yesterday.
  6. Sorry, I did search VPN DNS Leak before posting. My appologies. Its the prefetch that makes it different from prior posts and not WebRTC. Again sorry if its a duplicate.
  7. This is a Prefect issue and not related to WebRTC leak. Its can be turned off simply by disabling predictive url's in chrome by default. The problem is that Chrome has this set by default and the majority of VPN extensions do not disable it. If you use a VPN this defeats its purpose. Chrome attempts to preload to accelerate the experience, thus leaking the link you hover over or what you type in the address bar. It seems there is more reason to not use Tunnelbear and use PIA. PIA passes this test but Tunnelbear and a bunch of other VPN chrome extensions are leaking DNS queries via Prefetch. Take a look. Chrome Extension VPN DNS Leaks EDIT: Appears TunnelBear patched this april 4th.
