  1. Too much hostility on this forum, even from me. Better stop while I'm ahead.

  2. There's no guarantee if either phone will be worth the wait, particularly Project Ara. You should wait until there's more details.
  3. Oh, it's you again. The mod team isn't going to shake your hand for whiteknighting them, you know.
  4. I don't understand the need to justify banning someone for saying such a thing. I'm convinced you've never been in a Twitch stream before, because at the best of times, it's just people regurgitating "kappa" and repeating one-another. Maybe if I had threatened someone with violence or promoted hostility, you would have something of a point. As it stands, you are simply trying to be contrarian. Had you seen that typed in a chat, I am certain you would not have cared whether or not anyone was banned over it, but because I brought it up in this conversation, you suddenly feel the compulsive need to call me out on it. Granted, I cannot prove this, as logic would dictate that if I were to catch you in such a scenario now, you'd be aware of what I said. What I said, I did not say was "stupid." Once again, you calling it "stupid" is a matter of subjectivity, and not everyone would agree with you. Considering you were not in the chat at the time, I feel no reason that you should have any sort of emotional investment in the matter. I'm certainly seeing otherwise, which is why I find that you're arguing with me for the sake of arguing. To be completely blunt, it's posts like yours that make this forum a far more hostile environment than any arbitrary message I could have posted in the Twitch chat. Trying to seek out a debate with someone just because you feel like it is generating a much greater threat to the forum, by generating negativity that doesn't even need to exist. I, myself, make Twitch a horrible place? Fair enough, that's your opinion. Just as it is my opinion that you make this forum far, far worse than it already is. So next time if you decide to go spewing your nonsensical discussions with someone, I would beseech you to do one of two things. Be civil about it. Think before you write. And you failed to do both. I will not be responding to any replies you might have for this post. You're going to assume you're right, regardless of what I tell you. I hope you can apply this knowledge to future posts. *Tips fedora*
  5. I did not admit to typing something stupid. That's completely subjective. I would really rather not be warned for arguing on your level, so could you please being an internet paladin for now?
  6. Oh, I didn't know you followed me on Twitch and saw each of my messages. My mistake, how ignorant of me. Next time, I'll have it noted that you possess omniscience, and therefore are allowed to make such gratuitous assumptions about others.
  7. Got carried away looking at the replies and assuming I could skim over the OP, my mistake. Unfortunately, it matters not, because the H320 is out of stock on NCIX and Swiftech's website - the only two places I think you can buy them short of, say, eBay. My X60 recommendation still stands, but I would probably pick the H220, given your situation and because it costs significantly less for about the same performance.
  8. Who cares? Twitch chat moderators will ban you if you so much as breathe. One time, I jokingly typed <message deleted> on a stream and I got temporarily banned. Seriously? People are such drooling idiots that they care about that, let alone don't notice the difference in colors? The chat is about as stupid as the moderators of any Twitch chat are. I don't even bother. I've seen more productive discourse on /b/. Ban me from every Twitch chat that does exist and ever will exist, I couldn't care less. In fact, I'd probably prefer it just so I don't get tempted to say anything.
  9. Best performer, yes, but he can't fit it in his case. He asked for 2 x 120/140mm. @Hank_Tech: I can endorse the Kraken X60. Swiftech H220 is about the same in performance, but the X60 can run quieter. That's relative, though; a few people have complained about the stock fans being loud. Replace them with Phanteks fans or something if you go that route.
  10. What do you mean by "best"? The performance difference between the best and worst 2 x 120/140mm AIO isn't very large. You could just as easily pick the H100i for its software support over the Swiftech H220 for its performance. In fact, you might even prefer paying more for the NZXT Kraken X60 which also has bundled software (not as good as Corsair's) but it's an Asetek-based pump, so you can use it on a Kraken G10 bracket if you're at all sold on those.
  11. How the hell is this even a conspiracy? "Mwahahaha, we've tricked modern science into believing the Earth is not growing!"
  12. Didn't you ask this before at one point? What happened?
  13. I heard about this laptop some time ago. The user reviews leave a bitter taste in my mouth.
  14. Of all the online quizzes I've ever seen, that one is definitely the most laughable - and that's saying something. I got Neutral Evil. Doesn't fit me. I'm more True Neutral.
  15. Wait until January/February next year, new models of TVs come out and stores start trying to sell their older inventory for cheaper prices. 4K might even be more affordable by then. Not that the Xbox One can use it. Vizio and Samsung are both okay, but I find Samsung's TVs overpriced. Vizio is just as good.
  16. Yes, I do, as a matter of fact: Nobody would care about them if Linus hadn't reviewed them. They are meant for professional DJs, not the general user, and the bundled accessories and sound signature will reflect that. I understand why the general user would love to own those headphones, but to be perfectly blunt, I would sooner recommend the Sennheiser HD 600 for that money. I'm going to consolidate all my suggestions into this post so I don't have to congest the thread. Check for edits. Headphones: Sennheiser HD 558/598, Philips Fidelio X1 Studio Monitors: Audioengine A2+ or a pair of bookshelf speakers paired with a Lepai LP-2020A+. Recording Microphone: Blue Snowball, Antlion ModMic Chair: Whatever you think is comfortable. A lot of pleather chairs will wear out and flake away after at least a year of use, so keep that in mind. Monitor: Asus PA278Q (don't bother with a touchscreen, it isn't as essential as you think) Mouse: Very personal; Logitech G700s is both wired and wireless, but can be too heavy. Try the Logitech G602. Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K70, Logitech G710+. Absolutely recommend the former. Desk: Find something from Ikea or a local store that looks good to you. Too many factors to suggest one. Amp: With the headphones I suggested, you won't need one. If you find a pair of headphones that needs an amp, though, Objective2+ODAC. Capture card: Not my area of expertise. I guess something from Hauppauge or AVermedia? Video editing software: Adobe Premiere, for lack of knowledge on other options. Some other things to consider: Mouse surface: SteelSeries QcK or 4HD; cloth will wear out but is a little more comfortable. I use the 4HD because it's a plastic surface. Webcam: Logitech C920, I suppose. Logitech C525 or Microsoft LifeCam-something if you want to be more frugal. UPS: APC Back-UPS 650 or Cyberpower 1350. Seriously consider one of these if you plan to do professional work. Router: Asus RT-AC66U or Asus RT-N66U if you don't need AC wireless for mobile devices like tablets and phones. Probably don't actually need this. External RAID Array: Not really necessary. Professionals use them and you can easily swap out hard drives in it, but all you really need are drives inside your PC.
  17. I edited my last post to include a couple really good suggestions. They're open-back headphones, so use them indoors or in quiet environments only. Also, if you need to shave a few dollars off of the AT2020 (which I would recommend, that microphone is overkill for the general user unless you plan to do professional YouTube videos), then I suggest a Blue Snowball, or even an Antlion ModMic attached to one of the pairs of headphones I suggested.
  18. Assuming you haven't already bought the Bose headphones, I could recommend several pairs that I think you'd prefer to listen to. If you're prepared to spend that kind of cheddar on peripherals and accessories for your PC, I can recommend either the Sennheiser HD 558 (or 598, which are a "better" 558 but both are great) or Philips Fidelio X1.
  19. $2100 for peripherals. You have got to be kidding me. Please tell me you spent more than that on the actual PC.
  20. Bose is yet another overrated brand pretending to be more high-end than they actually are. See every smartphone manufacturer. The problem isn't that Bose audio products are awful, it's that they're not great. They're merely okay, and when you're paying north of $100, you expect more than okay. They favor psychoacoustics over producing quality sound. For the average consumer, Bose headphones might be worth it - and in fact, their superior comfort makes them absolutely desirable. If another pair of headphones came along with the level of comfort I've found on the Bose AE2s, I would be all over it - so long as it didn't sound like it was being played through a tin can. Also, they're known for their noise-cancelling headphones, which are ludicrously overpriced. But then, noise-cancelling technology is overpriced to begin with; just get better noise-isolating headphones. Imagine if Apple tried selling their EarPods that they bundled with their products for around $30. That's pretty much how I'd describe Bose. But obviously, Apple would never do such a thing.
  21. Contrast ratios are so meaningless in displays. There's no industry standard by which to measure them, so manufacturers can fudge the numbers however they want using BS, in-house testing methods. Lul. Don't buy something based on it.
  22. Not happening. If the price is under $2, the shipping won't be. The only way you're going to get one that cheap is if you wait a couple weeks for something to ship from Hong Kong. Here's the only instance I could find that fits your criteria.
  23. Haven't you checked Amazon? That isn't even the only option. You could barely count how many different antistatic wrist straps are on Amazon if you just search for it - and almost all of them are under five dollars.
