SecretX got a reaction from jetnoodles in Please help me find a replacement for my Galaxy S9
It's pretty sad to hear that the industry has made that the default for high-end phones, but OK then. What phones with an excellent screen and stereo audio would you recommend, then?

Yes, it was turned on by default. But I did tweak it and all other screen settings in all possible ways, all possible configurations, and all possible color balances (in the "Advanced" section of the screen color adjustment menu), but none of the configurations removed the yellowish tint that was present on the screen. I didn't have night mode/bed mode turned on, nor any kind of accessibility screen filter enabled.

I remember that when I got my Galaxy S9, its screen had a slightly reddish tint, but I was able to fix this issue by decreasing the amount of red in the screen color configuration menu, and the screen was perfect afterward, but unfortunately, although the Galaxy M34 also have this same option, it didn't do anything relevant when it comes to reducing the amount of yellow on the screen, it was like the color configuration didn't do anything at all to its screen, I tested the sliders in all possible positions, but the image looked the same no matter the configuration.

I can't do this ATM, got no money. Here https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-970-g1-gaming-review,7.html they say it just uses 280W full load with a i7 extreme, my PSU is 450W why it wouldn't work?

SecretX got a reaction from KyberKylo77 in Is there a way to only clone windows to an SSD with nothing else?
Yes it will, but you can always delete Windows folders from HDD later (file explorer options > view > Show hidden files).

    Take my C:\ as example

You can literally just select everything with Ctrl + A and hit Shift + Delete, except the Users folder, that's where your Downloads, Documents, Desktop, Music, Pictures and Videos folders are usually located (unless you changed it by any chance), oh, and if you want to keep your games copy them out of Program Files and/or Program Files (x86). Regarding your game saves, they are usually located either in Documents or in Local or Roaming folder (Win key + R > type %appdata% and hit enter, for Local type %localappdata%), both these last two folder are located inside your user folder so you can delete from your HDD safely (kinda).

Take a loot at the comments, more than often retailers don't update their products description, just look the model, it need to have the AF part.

I have a suggestion for you, if what you gonna do in your PC is mostly gaming, drop the 500GB SSD, pick a 500GB M.2 SSD instead and maybe downgrade the CPU to a Ryzen 5 1600 AF and upgrade the GPU to a RTX 2060 instead.

Maybe this video will help you

No, tearing may or may not happen with your monitor, it's not a certainty. Both Gsync (nvidia) and Freesync (amd) works when your FPS is lower than your monitor's Hz, and Fast Sync (nvidia) works when your FPS is higher than your monitor's Hz, AND you can have BOTH activated at same time to have a smooth performance.
don't suggest using Vsync unless playing low paced games such as Hearthstone.

Maybe a fresh install of Windows would solve all your problems. If the remain issues bother you, please give a try and reinstall Windows, otherwise you are good to go.

SecretX got a reaction from Belbs in High refresh rate freesync vs low refresh rate freesync
I'd edited my post, make sure to re-read it. Both monitors will be a good pair with your rx 480, if you are not planning to play competitive games such as CS:GO, Rainbow Six etc competitively go and buy the cheapest one. But if you are going to do that I said or just want to have a better refresh rate, buy the 144Hz.

My personal suggestion, on the other hand, since you are not going to play fast-paced multiplayer games, is to buy a IPS freesync monitor since IPS will improve the color accuracy and contrast making things looks awesome. Of course you can buy a 144Hz IPS but it's considerably more expensive so most people don't.

No, it's the oposite. Let's say you have a monitor with a refresh rate of 144Hz (so it can effectively display up to 144 frames in one second, fps). What Freesync (for amd graphics card) and Gsync (for nvidia graphics card) does is lower the refresh rate of your monitor to match your actual fps so you don't get tearing (it just occurs when your fps is LOWER than the refresh rate of your monitor). If your fps is HIGHER than the refresh rate of your monitor then it will do nothing.

BTW if you want to have a very nice experience what you have to do is either just turn on V-Sync (add input lag, but locks your fps so you'll never get tearing unless you are using a nonsense graphics config) or use Nvidia Fast Sync + Gsync (very nice, add input lag but less than V-Sync, downside is the price, G-Sync monitors are expensive).

Side note: The more Hz your monitor has, the less "noticeable" the tearing you get for going HIGHER fps than your monitor can display it became.

More about that in this very interesting video:

Another point to prove my theory. I really think your problem is a driver issue, maybe you should reinstall nvidia drivers and post here the results.

Well, at least split your monitors like that won't affect your performance (on the main monitor) negatively. Although it may or may not affect your performance positively too. What is your CPU, cooler and PSU? Have you changed your thermal past (recently)?

Except for some eccentric people, I don't see a point to use SLI nowadays. Most games don't use it correctly, which makes your SLI unusable, my suggestion for you is to sell your GTX 1070 and buy a 1080 or 1080 ti.

    2. IDK but probably Ryzen if you overclock it.
    3. Yes, if you're not playing at 4K you should be fine with 8GB
    4. A monitor that support resolution higher than 1080p (kappa). Depend on that game do you want to play, triple A games (destiny 2 etc) or e-sports (overwatch, cs:go etc) titles.

    For triple A: GTX 1070/Vega 56 for 1440p and GTX 1070 ti/Vega 64 or better for 4K;
    For e-sports: GTX 1060 6GB/RX480 for 1440p, GTX 1070/Vega 56 for 4K.

It depends on what kind of game are you playing. FPS games would totally sucks have to press a button to talk with friends (sorry CS:GO, no friend calls inside you ) , but MMORPG games, such as Runescape? Well, it sucks aswell but (when I played it) I used to use Ctrl for both push-to-talk in TeamSpeak 2 and as modifier key (to use another ability bar) so that eventually became a habit. After sometime (side note: a really long time...) I realized what I was doing and then I spent a whole week thinking "How have I been doing this all this time, automatically"?.

As mic recommendation take a look at this mic. It's my next mic, this kit includes a mount arm, pop filter, phantom power supply (as a condenser mic requires), the mic itself and the cables. Like my post if you like the mic <3.
