  1. Its saying Kernel-Power, what is that?
  2. I should have also mentioned that as soon as it does its instant shut down thing, it also immediately restarts its self.
  3. I have a 8700K (not overclocked), and an 2080TI (not overclocked), 7 USB 2.0 devices, 32gb 3000mhz ram, 2 x 140mm fans, 3 x 120mm fans, a D5 Pump, and a 650W Seasonic Focus Plus PSU. While playing a game, after a little while sometimes 15min, sometimes 1 hour, and sometimes as little as 1 min, the computer just instantly shuts off, like some one just flicked the power off at the wall. I have monitor CPU and GPU temps they seem fine. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
  4. I want to increase to power limit on my founders edition 2080 Ti, some of the AIBs have reference design cards with BIOSs that allow upto a 130% power limit. How do I flash my card with an AIBs BIOS?
  5. While waiting for my pre-ordered RTX 2080 TI, I have been watching videos on YouTube of reviewers overclocking the 2080 TI, every reviewer came to the conclusion that they only hit the max overclock due to power limitations, with the power slider only going upto +123% or +130%. I was wondering it there is a solution for this? ie flash the BIOS or something
  6. I know that every swears by high refresh rates, but me personally until the start of this year was perfectly happy with 30FPS on my old laptop. I value graphics over super high FPS, but I must admit ultra wide does intrigue me.
  7. Standard 16:9 1440p doesn't interest me, I would rather go 4K 16:9 than 16:9 1440p. I shouldn't have a CPU bottle neck issue, I have an overclocked 8700k.
  8. I am after a new monitor to go with my new RTX 2080 TI I have pre-ordered. I exclusively use my computer for gaming, (FPS, RTS, RPG, pretty much every type of game, except online games) I was thinking 4K or Ultrawide 1440p. I would be interested in seeing some Ultrawide 1440p benchmarks for the RTX 2080 TI. I think I have narrowed it down to just a few monitors - Acer XB321HK Predator XB1 32inch IPS 4K UHD G-Sync - Acer Predator X34P or wait for the - ASUS PG35VQ I am after what everyone's thoughts are. Currently I am using a cheap 28" TN 4K Free-Sync Panel
  9. Currently my rig has a 8700K delided & water block, 32GB 3000mhz ram, and an ASUS Phoenix GTX 1060 3GB (air cooled). In the loop I have a 240mm and 280mm rad. I have pre-ordered a RTX 2080 TI, and a EKWB water block for it, that I will be installing. I have been thinking about using the GTX 1060 as a PhysX card, and I have a few questions about my plan. Does anyone know a water block that will fit a ASUS Phoenix GTX 1060 3GB? Will a 650W PSU be enough for a GTX 1060 OC, RTX 2080 TI OC, and 8700K OC? Will my 280mm and 240mm rads be enough to keep my loop with the 2 GPUs and 1 CPU all overclocked cool or should I install an additional 120mm rad? Is it worth using liquid metal on the GPUs?
  10. With immanent release of the 65" 4K BFGDs, I am trying to decided between a 4K or the PG35VQ 35" 1440p ultrawide screens. I have discovered that with a custom resolution you can turn a 4K 16:9 panel into a 21:9 3840x1600, which is fantastic, except the image sits in the centre of the screen, with a black bar at the top and bottom. Is there a way to push the image all the way to the bottom of the screen, and just have one extra thick black bar at the top of the screen?
  11. Disregard, I found the solution, even though its a txt file, its actually supposed to be a .rar file, so it works if you open it with a .rar software.
  12. I have just gotten my new ROG Centurion headset, I tried to install the latest firmware, I was able to successfully download and install version 1.5 of the firmware, but when I download Version MCU 1.8/DSP 2.0 Beta, it downloads as a .txt file, does any one have any idea what I am supposed to do to install 1.8/2.0 beta? https://www.asus.com/us/Headphones-Headsets/ROG-Centurion/HelpDesk_Download/
  13. I might try it on my desktop, then with a GTX1060
  14. I have installed some old games (2000-2002) C&C Renegade, Chaser, Red Faction, ect. When I run the games they wont recognise the modern GPU GTX950M, the only thing that shows up is the intergrated graphics Intel HD Graphics 5600. Does anyone have a solution to this?
  15. I was looking at purchasing the ROG Centurion headset (True 7.1), but found a couple of articles that said True 7.1 is much better in terms of directional sound, but the sound quality isn't as good as just having one driver on each ear like in virtual 7.1, can anyone shed some light on this? and let me know if they have tried both kinds and what there opinion is. If I don't get the ROG Centurion (True 7.1), I will probably just get the ROG Strix Fusion 500 (Virtual 7.1). Given they are pretty close in price to each over I was hoping to found out which will have a better sound quality.
