  1. An hour is longer than 5 minutes, so that's a little victory on it's own lol. I'm assuming it probably did some damage with that high of voltage, so I'll probably have to replace it. What does Precision Boost Overdrive do? Would it fix this issue?
  2. Ok, so this was very strange. I went into the bios to mess with the voltage, and saw it was set to auto with it set at 1.45 volts! I set it to manual, and set it down to 1.375, and it's been working for almost an hour now! I am assuming this did some damage to the CPU though...
  3. Before I sent the motherboard into ASUS I updated to the latest version, however I have not updated the replacement. I will do that as well.
  4. Yes, I can get into the bios. I'll try a few of those and update and see what happens.
  5. Hm, that seems related, but more severe than the issue I'm having. Could a CPU issue really cause the system to just turn off without any indication? I was under the impression that a CPU fault would always lead to a BSOD, especially since I'm able to get to the windows lockscreen and most of the time beyond it for a few minutes before it does it.
  6. I will try that. I have a friend with a different power supply that he just replaced that we know is working, so we'll try that one and see if it still does it, otherwise we'll check the CPU.
  7. It's not like a standard restart. The whole system just seems to lose power, like when you hold down the power button for a few seconds. Appreciate the help though!
  8. Correct, new sealed after the RMA. From ASUS, said it was replaced, not repaired.
  9. Already have reseated and cleaned everything around the CPU. Still happens.
  10. You really think it could be the PSU after it's had the same issue before and after a warranty replacement? That seems incredibly unlikely. I'll definitely try it if I have the resources though.
  11. Still did it. After it was on for about 3 minutes it just shut down again with the front panel connectors removed. Thanks for the suggestion though!
  12. Hello people of LinusTechTips! I'm coming to you guys because I've already exhausted just about every other option. The shutdown happens between immediately after getting to the lock screen, and 5-10 minutes after traversing windows. I have also clean installed Windows 10 just to check if drivers were an issue, and it didn't help. I have a pc with the following specs: Ryzen 3600X Asus TUF X570 Gaming Plus EVGA GTX 1070 Superclocked NZXT H510 Case EVGA 550W G3 Power Supply Crucial MX500 500GB SSD Samsung 860 Evo 500GB 2TB WD HDD I have absolutely no idea what is causing this problem. I have performed all the normal troubleshooting steps, such as: Trying 1 ram stick in multiple different positions on the motherboard. Reseating just about everything I could think of. CPU, Graphics card, Ram, etc. Checking to make sure nothing was overheating. Trying a known working graphics card from another system Since I run off of a UPS for power, tried running off of the wall, and multiple outlets around the house to no avail. EVGA replacing the PSU under warranty ASUS replacing the motherboard under warranty Booting into safe mode to try and check for bluescreens, which there were none. Just events viewer saying there was a loss of power to the system. I just cannot figure it out. I've been going at this for almost a month, and I need my computer to start working again. If anyone has any input, or wants to clarify anything I've done, I'll be replying to all of the posts. Thanks so much!
  13. I would love this SSD because I'm still running very old HDD's in my system, and it takes absolutely forever to boot. I don't have enough money to buy an SSD due to me being a high school student, and this would really help me out. Thanks!
