  1. I have a DREEVO Calibur bluetooth keyboard. For the first month it worked completely fine however soon after my computer would stop picking it up properly, saying that the computer and the keyboard were paired but not connected. I did a clean reinstall of the Intel bluetooth drivers and it worked perfectly fine for a while. In the last day I've had to do clean installs of the bluetooth drivers over and over because it keeps disconnecting then not wanting to connect again. The errors I get from it are: - 'Try connecting your device again' in the bluetooth settings window. - Entering the PIN code, pressing enter and nothing happening. This is also in the bluetooth settings window. - The computer not picking it up at all - The keyboard working but as soon as I boot it up the next day it stops Is there anything I can do? I'm kind of sure it's a computer issue however I don't know, Google wasn't of much help either.
  2. dang, thanks for the help guys
  3. I have this laptop: https://www.asus.com/uk/Laptops/ZX553VD-DM640T/specifications/ Can the USB Type C port be used to output to a monitor via displayport? For example, a type c to displayport adaptor then into the monitor through a normal DP cable. If it's possible, what refresh rates and resolutions does it support? I'm looking at a 144hz ultrawide monitor at 2560x1080 or 2560x1440
  4. So effectively does this mean that the monitor I'm looking at will be 2560x1080 just at 60hz? There's another version of the LG monitor which is similar. It's not curved and is only 75hz, would it be more worthwhile to get the 75hz one instead?
  5. Okay cool, thanks for the help guys, much appreciated!!
  6. The 25" one was at 60hz, sorry I should've mentioned before. Generally speaking, I'm looking at this monitor to enhance my viewing experience. It'll be for games and for watching videos. Rocket League caps at 60 with VSync on + max settings and caps around 130 without VSync and max settings on the 25" ultrawide (at 60hz).
  7. Well I don't play any resource intensive games like PUBG or anything, just games like Rocket League and Minecraft really. Rocket league can run on max settings with ease. I shall get on them now and report back with FPS readings. I also forgot to mention that I've been playing said games on a 25" LG ultrawide. It's just that I'm unsure if the 34" will be worth getting.
  8. I have an ASUS ROG STRIX laptop which I shall link here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XD5BNMZ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I am looking to buy this monitor: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lg-34uc79g-34-2560x1080-ips-freesync-144hz-curved-gaming-widescreen-led-monitor-black-red-mo-14c-lg.html What I want to know is, will my laptop be able to support the max res and the max refresh rate? I'm inexperienced at this, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  9. I would settle for 2560x1080 just like my 25" lg ultrawide has, however every other res i choose from always looks stretched out on this new one
  10. I put in 3440x1440 and it's telling me that this exceeds maximum bandwidth
  11. That's where i run into problems, I have no option to change resolution on the Nvidia control panel.
  12. Going from the amazon order: ASUS ROG Strix ZX553VD-DM640T Yeah, it does have a CD drive. I used the HDMI cable that came with the monitor. It's also a meter long.
  13. I don't have MiniDP on this laptop, is there another option at all?
  14. Googled how to turn it on, my Nvidia control panel doesn't have any DSR options that they're talking about.
  15. Whole point in me coming here was to get advice as nothing I have found on google has helped
  16. How do I do that? Sorry I'm so naive.
  17. I'm unsure how to find out, Ive searched my laptops model number and it doesn't specify that. It only says HDMI, not HDMI 2.0 or anything. Sorry.
  18. First off I just wanna say I'm inexperienced so please excuse my lack of knowledge. Basically, I bought a 34" 2k Ultrawide monitor to use with my ASUS ROG Strix laptop (that has a GTX 1050). As the laptop only has HDMI, I used that. For some reason, the max resolution that it allows me to choose is 2560x1440 when, as I said, it should be able to display 3440x1440. Is there a problem with the HDMI cable? Or the laptop/monitor itself maybe? The monitor: ElectriQ 34″ 2K Quad HD Freesync Curved Gaming Monitor – eiq-34CMUWQ60GAFS
