  1. I just bought myself another EVO 960 SSD for Christmas. I want to span my boo drive across to the new drive but Windows Disk Management won't let me without deleting the Boot. Is there a software tool out there that will allow me to get this done?
  2. Youtuber "Dan it all" is currently compiling a deepfake of Linus. You watch the live stream here. Vice has a write-up. I seems like it has been running for a while. Just thought someone might be interested.
  3. Not in this case. They were the front case ports. hooked up through a single connector the the front pane USB 3.1 header on the motherboard
  4. The solution made no sense but who knows? Back when I was a mere tech support munchkin (2 decades ago) we always asked, "Have you tried to reboot?" and lo if that did not solve many a problem. there is no sane reason that swiching USB ports should have changed anything but what the hell -- it worked!
  5. Hmmm... I switched the USB ports of the windows drive and the bluetooth adapter and... Presto! Windows install. That's weird since they both are pluched to the same header.
  6. I am trying to install Windows 10 64bit onto my new PC build from a USB drive. (Fully legit copy right out of the package). I turn on the PC, it posts, and I have get into the bios. However I cannot see the USB deive as a boot option. My Logitech K800 and Anywhere MX are working just fine from the same USB port on the front panel. My system is: Gigabyte z370 Ultragaming Intel i7-8700 16gb Ripsaw 2100 Ram (2x8gb) 500gb Samsung EVO 960 EVGA 1070 Hybrid EVGA 550 G3 PSU Below is the screen from the BIOS. The only option available is the Samsung EVO What am I missing?
  7. It was a bay cover from an old tower case. I was using a stepped drill bit in a press. I was trying very hard not to apply to much pressure. In any case if found a prefabbed plate at the same place i got the buttons: http://www.performance-pcs.com/lian-li-bezel-w-mnpctech-mounting-plate-16mm-22mm-vandal-resistant-switches-black.html#Specifications
  8. I went ahead and bought a couple of momentary anti-vandal buttons I had planned to drill holes through the plastic plates on the 3.5" drive bay. Unfortunately the plate cracked when I drilled the second hole. Does anyone know of a solution for me? Either a steel bay plate to a pre-drilled plate for a 22mm and a 16mm button.
  9. Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming I have the InWin Polaris Fans. The ability to daisy-chain them is great and the look great in push. I just wish they would ship a second short connector in the two fan kit so you could daisy-chain four together easily.
  10. The HDs aren't bad but they are not compatible with the built-in RGB controller on my motherboard and I don't really want to mix controllers. I wish Corsair would learn to play nice with others.
  11. Hi Are there any fans that look good in pull configuration? every thing I have found to date has the motor mount on the pull side. Push side view: Pull side view: The vast majority of fans have the motor on the pull side. Are there any RGB fans with the motor on the push side. I can see this a being most useful for static pressure or radiator fans.
  12. So either a on-(on) or an off-(on) configuration? The (on) The button you link to - can that be controlled from an RGB header? My hope is to add it on a splitter to the header controlling my InWin Polaris fans. Also, I really like that the button come pre-wired and sleeved in basic black.
  13. I am building a PC into an Ikea cabinet. I need a little help with the power button. I am a little confused over the momentary nature of the poser button. My research to date inclines me to belive that this RGB Anti-Vandal Button is what I am looking for. Am I right? Can someone clarify the difference between 2 and three poles and the difference between On-On vs On-(On)? Thanks -> Rant
