  1. if just gaming, 1060's 6G VRAM coupled with 8G of system RAM is enough, but when gaming + multitasking/streaming, you will benefit from doubling your RAM
  2. thanks, now i don't have to worry on the video i watched the backplate look like this:
  3. A few weeks ago I installed a Cryorig C7 on a MSI B250M Mortar mobo to cool a an Intel i5 7500. I had difficulties installing the C7 using the backplate, which is different from the one shown on the installation video. The four mounting posts/feet on the C7 matches the holes on the mobo, but only three on the backplate. So, out of fear that I might damage the parts involved, (my first time installing a cpu cooler) I instead used the included washers/spacers. For about three weeks the installation seems good, but I still has doubts from not installing using a backplate. Idle temps are about 40 deg C, under load are 60 deg C (playing GTA V), with an ambient temps of 36 deg C. so is this setup, me not using the backplate OK? By the way the C7 are brand new/unused, bought from a friend for about 20 us dollars, and the case are a Fractal Design Core 1300
  4. I recently bought a Zotac GTX 1060 6GB AMP! Edition video card from a local store here in the Philippines. I chose Zotac because of decent online reviews and reasonable price. The one thing that surprised me is the backplate. The Zotac site shows the 1060 AMP with no backplate, but the actual item I bought has one. I got no problem with the backplate, I like it and looks so nice. And keeps the video card rigid. My only question is, is this 1060 that I bought same as the one that Zotac advertise, sans the backplate? Or it is different in other aspect other than the backplate?
  5. Thanks for the info! so it is either I find some 12v rated rgb strips or some USB powered rgb controllers
  6. I got some 5v rgb led strip, about a meter long, with female rgb header connected that I want to install in my pc case, and I planning to control it via the app that came with the mobo My mobo is MSI B250M Mortar with a 4pin rgb header Can I connect the 5v rgb strip to the mobo?
  7. To those who have/had a Fractal Design Core 1300 case, I need the measurements of the side panel. I will be upgrading and making some modifications to my brother's 2-year old pc as a surprise early Christmas gift, and one mod in particular is making a side panel out of plexiglass/acrylic sheet. But I need the correct size of the side panel so I can cut and prepare the plexiglass/acrylic. I can't find a Core 1300 case that I can measure near where I live, and websites just show the measurements of the whole case, not the side panel Any help will be very much appreciated

  9. Hi, I'm planning to build my new pc using Intel i5 7500 processor. I'm aiming to use either ASRock b250 pro4 or Asus Prime b250m A motherboard One thing that baffles me is the CPU power connector, the Asus one has 4 pins, the ASRock has 8 pins Is there a big difference between these two? Must I take this into account? Which is better, 4 or 8? And by the way I will not be over clocking Thank You
