Hey everyone! I'm going back to school in a few days and I want to pick up a laptop to use through the year and when out on vacation. Tasks I'll be doing for my Sophomore year include things like writing in google docs, or taking online courses all the way to being my main gaming driver when on vacation and during downtime at school. I'm selling my old Razer laptop since it was massive and bulky. In my research I came across two options I like for a replacement. One of these being the Razer Blade Stealth and the other being the Asus ROG ROG Zephyrus G. Now, the Razer Blade Stealth only has an MX150 while the Zephyrus G has a 1660ti Max Q. My main point of issue is that I'm not sure whether I should go with the bigger and heavier ROG laptop for performance. (Keep in mind, I didn't like my last laptop because of it's bulk.) Or if I should sacrifice that and go with the much lighter and thinner design, as well as the much superior build quality. Any tips or help would be awesome! Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, so I'm pretty new to building PC's, and I know this has probably been asked 100s of different times in 100s of different ways, but would this rig work? My goal is having a good enough PC for gaming on a 1080p ultrawide monitor at around 75 FPS, and maybe in the future High to Ultra at 1440p. I'm also a video editor but I only edit in 1080p. Alright, probably my last-ish computer build for my first computer. I am an iMac person, so most of this stuff is new to me, I just want some feedback. I’m going for a white and aluminum theme for my whole desk, and I want to keep the price around $1000-$1500, but the cheaper the better. I edited the build. Does the asthetic of the RAM and PSU really matter?

I’m just looking for some light gaming at 1080p, my monitor supports 1,920x1,200 resolution. I chose the 1060 just for price, I’d upgrade after I build, and what CPU should I get? i5 8400?

[EDIT] I’ve changed a few things. I also want to know of some in-case lighting options. Preferably blue or purple. I’ve never built a gaming pc before, only older 2000s computers. Just entering realm of gaming. Is this a good build? I’m looking for a white/blue asthetic, but staying close to the $1000 price tag.
