In my experience the non smart tvs are from lower end brands like sceptre. (I have one) i don't recommend it. *no hdr, horrible speakers that actually give me a headache, and reliability seems to be an issue along with missing some pretty significant basic features. Like being able to set a 4:3 aspect ratio for incorrectly stretched content

Unfortunately I'm trying to do this on a 55 inch 4k TV. And it's stretching my ps2 to 16:9 through hdmi and has no setting to switch it lol. Best I can do is zoom in. So I'm trying to find some adapter hopefully to squish it back lol

16:9 to 4:3 converter Does anyone know if this exists? I need to change the aspect ratio of something hooked up to my tv and my tv unfortunately does not have this option.

ok thanks for your help guys the best cpu the am3 board i have supports is a phenom ii x4 910 and looking up the benchmarks its almost identical to the q6600 so reason to upgrade them.

750 ti and 1030 are close 1030 is like 2-5 or so fps slower in most games. so phenom x4 is the best option i guess.

Im willing to go up to a phenom ii x6 would that be better? I know more cores doesn't necessarily mean more performance and im clueless when it comes to amd processors. Plus i have 6gb of ddr3 laying around

mostly lego games but they like to play rise of the tomb raider and gta v (I know that sounds bad but they just like playing destruction derby with the cars)

Ok guys I need some assistance. Im trying to piece together a gaming computer for my kids. Right now i have a q6600 dell precision system with 4gigs ddr2 and a gt 1030 for them. The q6600 completely bottlenecks the 1030 in almost everything. Which i knew it would when i put it together but did not realize it would completely cripple the system. I have an am3 motherboard with a athlon x2 250 laying around (which I figure would probably do worse). However would getting a phenom x6 help any? I know its a dead platform but just trying to get them by until I upgrade give my wife mine and give the kids hers (i5 4590 + rx 470). Thanks.
