  1. I've tried both only 1 and 2 dimms in different slots, but only the 4 primary slots. Will try with the 4 last ones tomorrow! Thanks for the tips
  2. Hi! This is my first time posting, sorry for a long and somewhat badly written post (since English is not my native language). So I recently brought home my brand new threadripper hardware from the computer store I work at. The following specs: AMD Threadripper 1950x Asus x399-A 4x16GB DDR4 2800mhz Corsair Vengance LPX 2x Asus ROG STRIX 1080 Ti H100i V2 Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SATA SSD Corsair RM850x Built it all on my test bench just to fire it up and realize it won't post, no boot screen, no nothing. Everething is starting up with fans spinning, but then it won't continue. I've gotten several different error codes during trouble shooting, mostly D0: "CPU Initialization Error", D1: "System Agent Initialization Error". I've also seen the q-code monitor stop at AD: "Ready to Boot" and 08: "System Agent Initialization after Microcode loading" only to stay there without going any further. What's been constant though is that the little orange DRAM-light lights up, every single time since day one. Naturally I started troubleshooting what I could from home, testing the ram in my x99 build, every dimm seems fine. Testing with different PSUs (CX600, RM650x as well as another RM850x), no difference. Updated BIOS, nothing. Cleared CMOS, all that did was that the system will restart after failing to boot instead of just staying on. Tested other ram kits (Vengance LPX 2400mhz & Dominator Platinum 2666mhz, the latter even being exact stated as supported by the motherboard) One of the GPUs, the other one, a GTX 660 and a GTX 1080. No luck. So I gave up for the day. Next day I got another mobo from work, still no luck. A couple of days later I got another CPU from work as well and this is when it gets really weird. Still the exact same problem, DRAM light and error codes. So at this point I basically have a build where no parts are the same that I got from the beginning, but the error is constant. Am I stupid? Have I missed something obvious? It can't be RAM, they work. Can't be PSU, it works. I feel like it's extremely unlikely to be CPU or mobo because then I would have gotten to of them with the exact same problem. None of the mobo's have any bent pins and none of the CPU's seem damaged. So that's where I am at. Any thoughts? Kind regards Joel
