I could only think of Rayman gold as a side scroller on Windows. The other option I could think of, it's a long shot, but there was vectorman and vectorman 2 on numerous Sega collection CDs that I'm pretty sure just fell out of heaven into CD drives as it seems everyone had em. Rayman 3 was also on Windows, wasn't a side scroller but the demo was everywhere, I remember playing that an absolute ton.

How much virtual memory do you have allocated? I had just barely not enough allocated at one point and it was causing really weird issues, including stuttering. Before then I've never even had to think about virtual memory so it was absolutely hell to troubleshoot. Also, it was only an issue this past year, before then I never had an issue. Might of been a Windows/Nvidia update that made it more relevant in the past year, idk, but it fixed it for me.

Highly recommend battlebit for multiplayer. For single player, it's not really FPS, it's third person, but AC6 is excellent for a quick mission or two. Besides bosses, missions go super quick, and kicking little mechs is cathartic.

Is it he possibly playing in 4k? Also, I was having a ton of issues with warzone 2 myself until I reallocated virtual memory. Idk what happened but I didn't have enough allocated and it sucked the performance from my system.

Got a question So I have triple monitors set up as a single spanned display for simracing, that's not the issue. The issue is I would like to play some games, like say warzone or valorant, really any game not setup for 5760x1080, on my center monitor, without disabling my spanned display cause going back and forth is a massive pain. So, is there a way to do this, besides playing in windowed mode? I prefer full screen borderless when able to. For what it's worth I am using displayfusion also, and if it has that functionality I've missed it

If aftershokz still makes wired ones to plug in, or you're able to connect them via Bluetooth, they'll work great for that. Sound quality was impressive when I had them years ago

My wife's PC is built in that case. Noise isn't bad, but it's more of a htpc than a gaming pc so we don't really load the CPU heavily.

Ok, thank you guys. I think I have a spare PSU cable that paired to a 700w+, so I can try that. As for the fuse, any advice? Should I bother with that or just buy a new PSU? I ask this cause I've never replaced a psu fuse before and if there's soldering my skills are very rusty

Nah, it's just the cable the caught fire. Smelled some slight ozone right before, if it would of clicked I'd of hit the kill early. I have everything cable managed onto the desk, so the desk is slightly singed but nothing else got burned up. Cable insulation is straight melted through. Was scary af tho, ngl. Computer went dark, got really quiet for half a second, then the cable sparked and caught fire.

So, how you all doing? Good? I hope so. My PSU cable just melted down and caught fire. Seasonic m12ii or something like that iirc. My question. Likely hood of the rest of my PC being deader than a doorknob? Likely hood of my PSU being dead? Unless you guys respond with a "nah PSU will be fine, throw a new cable on her." I'm just gonna but a new PSU. But it was a catastrophic short in the cable, happened so quick I couldn't hit the kill on my surge protector fast enough. So do PSUs have protection in place to prevent total system killing in those cases? Is there a sliver of hope? Or am I building a new PC most likely?

Oh shoot, I didn't even remember that my PSU should still be in warranty, thank you. And yeah, I know the Mobo is bottom tier, I got it before I really know what I was buying. I've been planning an upgrade, just haven't done it yet. I guess it could be the issue, just didn't make sense. Figured if it was dead, I'd have issues beyond when I try to OC the CPU or GPU.

Also, when I had the 2060, I had to gradually drop the OC on my cpu in the past month due to an odd issue of Warzone crashing anytime I changed graphics settings. Figured I just had an unstable OC that just didn't agree with a single, solitary game.

Replaced a 2060 that didn't like to hold an OC. And yeah, ddu'd all drivers, installed the latest

Hey lovely folk!! Think my PSU is giving up the ghost, but I'd prefer to get some opinions before I give her the old 6ft. System is: Ryzen 7 1700x Gigabyte gaming 3 b350 gtx 1080ti 16gb ram Seasonic m12ii 620w 2HDD 2 SSD (1 sata 1 m.2) So, since I've gotten the 1080ti, I've had to cut back my OC on my CPU dramatically. In the past 2 days I have just removed all OCs I have had due to increasing stability issues, totally hard lock, just shutting down, totally failures like that. With no OC, besides a stutter occasionally in SnowRunners, system runs fine. So I'm assuming that my ol PSU is just about dead, but I'm willing to be convinced it's my Mobo, need an excuse to upgrade that, or that I need a UPS between my outlet and my surge protector. (I can't imagine needing a UPS to run stablely, lights don't dim or anything unless I really load this breaker hard). Is there a good way to test the PSU? I don't have a spare to throw in to test, I would of done that already if I could.

It's not the gpu that's drawing all the power, it's the fact I'm OCing my 1700x at 4.075ghz with a .075v (or whatever it is right now, don't feel like checking) offset. That is what is drawing most of the power. Add on the HDDs, SSDs and such, it's sitting at right about 620w utilization. I was monitoring it during stress testing to verify the condition of the card and it was hitting power utilization limit a few times. I'm pretty happy with my little seasonic m12ii, it's just a hair underpowered if I want to really push my CPU and GPU. As for the thermal paste, I'm already planning on redoing my cpu this weekend, and I feel better about doing the gpu at the same time. It's not like it's a crazy hard task, and I don't know it's been done before in the past, best just to get it out of the way to be safe, you know?

Hey if anybody is wondering about the resolution, got the 1080ti in, all legit, running well. Going to redo thermal paste cause the P.O. said they never did. Now on the look out for a replacement PSU, my little 620w is getting pushed to the limit, can't OC.

Like I said, I'm asking for recorded benchmarks, asking for the proof. I'm relatively comfortable buying from this individual, but I'm not a star struck child. Believe me, my first thought was "oh, this thing has been ran into the ground and destroyed".

Seller is apart of a community I'm on celebrating 2 wheeled machines, said it's been sitting in the shelf for a year due to upgrade and that they would prefer to sell cheap vs ebaying it due to the hassle. I'd ask if they can their it in a PC and give be some benchmarks just to be safe but I mean, if it's good

Hey, got a question guys. Currently I have a 2060 rig Strix. Was just offered a 1080ti for $300 and I got a guy who'd buy my 2060 like now for $200. Assuming the TI is in good shape, this is a no brainier deal right? Am I missing something? 1080ti wasn't OC'd, but was used in a HTPC and saw extended durations at 86c.

Exactly. Set the game to auto update and launchers to start on startup, make sure you do at least one clean boot a week to update everything, then close them out and use steam. Or any launcher you'd prefer to use.
