  1. That does make sense, maybe I can raise the budget a bit, but not much. Your proposed solution seems very complicated though.
  2. My project is aimed at recognizing if people get motion sickness. The chosen approach is via audio. On one side I want to just use voice commands "I'm feeling sick", "I'm dizzy" etc. on the other hand I want to analyze (and from here on I dont even know what words to use in my own language) sounds/interjektions and differentiate them between good and bad (bad meaning discomfort). My professor told me to optimally do this I should use a microphone with a high frequency range. I hope that answers the question.
  3. Unfortunately I dont know the specific layout of the room and how many other people would be present, so I think directional is better.
  4. For my bachelor project in uni I need to analyse audio samples via a semi-mobile system in real time (person is in a VR simulation). I need to write a bill of materials but I have very little experience with microphones. The requirement are: - its somewhere between 50cm and 2m from the person it's recording, so thats the range (1feet6" to 7feet for US people) - price max is about 150€ i think - it can be oriented towards the person its recording, but it should give a bit of leeway - the higher the frequency range the better, especially higher frequencys are important (as far as I understood) I would love if someone could help me with finding the correct one. If you have further questions pls ask. Thanks in advance
  5. So I know that Soundbars dont have a good reputation, but I'm just too lazy to think to use another solution (space is an issue too). I read reviews and looked whats avaible and stuff, but I cant figure out the difference between the JBL SoundBar 2.1 and JBL SoundBar 2.1 DEEP BASS (the latter costing about 50€/58$ more). Can someone help me out if its worth it?
  6. Thank you very much mariushm for the extensive answer
  7. As the title states, i have an gigabyte x570 aorus elite motherboard and for some unknown reason I cant flash a new bios, which means that the chipset fan has only one speed: full throttle. or at least it feels like it, because its so loud in comparison to the rest of my system. Does anyone have any idea how to replace the fan with something quieter? Or any other experience dealing with a similar issue?
  8. @VaynardX thanks for the help, but this approach didnt work
  9. I have an Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570, with the default bios Version F3, I tried flashing the bios to be able to set another fan speed for the chipset fan. I tried Q-Flashing every other bios version, but when i try to turn it on after it wont boot, only in secured(safety? not sure whats the correct word) mode, so i flashed the f3 version again and it works now. Does anyone have an idea what i could try to update the bios?
  10. Ok thanks will try it. Its not really a big problem its just annoying to hear it wind up every few seconds
  11. I had an Bluescreen today. Thats why I updatet all my drivers and since then my gpu is kinda breathing. like spinning up faster than it should be and then stopping again. (its a relativly new build but I had the GPU from the build before). Card is a 980ti btw. https://i.imgur.com/hOV8QF4.gifv i made a gif of the behaviour. You can see that it should constantly be at 10% fan speed, but goes much higher and then stops. I tried reinstalling the drivers with ddu before but it didnt matter. Even a custom fan curve didnt matter. The fans would both spin up, but in the same breathing rythm as in idle would spin even faster and lower. Obious question is: Does anyone know a way to fix it?
  12. ok thanks. That sucks but is understandable.
  13. I installed Windows 10 on a new computer. And because my Internet is shit and Im a lazy person I just copied a bunch of programs on an external HDD and copied them onto the new version of windows. But now they dont get treated like real programs?! If you know what I mean. Like when I search them in the Start menu it doesnt find them, "Add Programms or deinstall" doesnt find them. I cant change my default browser to chrome because of this. Does anyone know how fix this?
  14. Oh I used the german one because the market is pretty much the same and if somethings cheaper there Ill just order it from there so yeah. EU ftw. I just wanted to hear a second opinion. Thanks.
