  1. holy shit dude I think it worked... I played for like 10 minutes without issue when it used to come up every 45 seconds. don't know why I didn't think to try that. the tearing isn't too bad, especially at 240hz, but I hope they update the driver or the game to fix this issue.
  2. Hey everyone, I got a new monitor with 240hz support. I hook it up with the DisplayPort cable it came with. 240hz works fine on the desktop. However, in Overwatch, the screen will lose signal and have to reconnect to the DisplayPort. This makes things unplayable and it happens so frequently. This doesn't happen on the desktop at all. When on the desktop the monitor is great, but in Overwatch and Rocket League (at least, I haven't tested my whole library yet) it disconnects. It works fine in CSGO and TF2 at 240hz, which I find the most strange. Specs: Ryzen 2600 RX 580 8GB (18.12.3) 8GB 2666Mhz RAM
  3. Ooh, this is my chance! I picked up a PowerSpec 1510 15" notebook from microcenter... It's their generic brand of PCs. It's basically a rebranded Clevo. OP, if you live near a Microcenter, I'd get this notebook. ~4-5 hours battery when doing light tasks with 25% brightness (it's pretty bright) and power saver mode. GTX 1070 and 7700hq for $1300 right now.
  4. Is it possible to overclock a Max-Q GPU while on power? Looking at Dell 7577, it can definitely handle the added thermal requirements.
