PNY XLR8 GTX 1080ti temp issue.

Try taking off the shroud and looking at the cooler for missing heat pads, thermal paste, and make sure its tight on the card.
  3. my oneplus 6t is ordered yay

  4. So I'm really glad I got off my ass and switched out the thermal paste on my CPU and GPU, because on my GPU, I used to see 80c-85c on high demanding games, and now its usually sticking around 70-73! I don't know if Kryonaut is just really good, or if the stock stuff on my 1080 was crap, probably both.

doesn't changing thermal paste on GPU voids warranty? Did you also see any improvement in CPU temps or they were already decent?

my i5 2300 doesn't go above 55C even in full load and my 750 ti goes 65C max and that too is bit high for me as the fan speed is barely 46% and i'm not comfortable with setting a custom fan curve though it still bothers me a little

  5. Just started playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and god DAMN why don't more games run on DX12, it can make games look and run great!

    Animations from movie to game

Since cutscenes in movies are pre-rendered, it could be put into the game as a regular video, but if it was rendered in real time using the game engine, it would require some work to be done on the game.

Monitor did this, should I be worried?

pshhh yeah, probably just a browser error

All of the options are valid.

Air Cooling vs NZXT Kraken AIO

They are both very good solutions, with the obvious possible failure of parts in an AIO, I have an X62 cooling my 1700, and have had no problems yet (have had it for 4+ months) although that's not the case for some people. NZXT's warranty for X series parts is good for 6 years, so you're most likely covered if something fails. Both solutions work well, if you think aesthetics are worth taking the risk on an AIO, then go for it, and if you don't, air cooling still works just as well. You don't need something like an X62 for your CPU anyway, so you wouldn't be sacrificing performance by going air.

@1kv Its called Wisconsin xD. Our winters are harsh as hell but our summers are bad too :/. As you saw we got up to -50F windchill but it can be as hot as 80-95F during summer :/

    3. 1kv

@Silentprototipe our winters are usually mild, and the summers can be quite hot. it can be anywhere from 80 to 100F, just depends on what global warming wants to do :/

@1kv 2018 summer was harsh as hell :/. It got up to 100F if I remember correctly one day and the rest of the week was like 90F. It was hell :(
