  1. Do not get an FX chip under any circumstances.
  2. Just wait for the steam summer sale, or any other possible big steam sales that might be coming.
  3. If you need a new card, the 2060 or 1660 would be a good option, but if you can go used, go for a used 1070 ti or something along those lines.
  4. Again, as I've said multiple times, we seem to be looking at a repeat of the Pentium 4 era, so another generation or two of mediocrity and then the Core 2 like jump back to performance... I hope.
  5. This is the second time Apple moved to a much higher efficiency architecture. (PowerPC->x86(64)->ARM)
  6. It is in.
The SSD I ordered is in.

  7. I wouldn't use a Ryzen 5 2600, as the new Ryzen 3000 chips should be out in June. I'd also switch out the RTX 2960 with a cheaper board partner GTX 1660.
  8. I hope there's no battery cases for this thing or else it might not fit into pockets at all anymore.
  9. I usually find the Used market reliable, but I really wouldn't know in the higher end segment of the market.
  10. Welp, seeing as how I store everything on a 320GB HDD, no, not really.
  11. I'd say RAM then CPU, if you just want it to feel snappier, get an SSD.
  12. Ok, hear me out, a PCIe expansion card, with a bit of RAM, a translation chip, and a female 40 pin GPIO connector, like the ones on the Raspberry Pi and it's single board computer standard, It can be a co-processor to either the CPU or GPU, helping render lighter tasks, like far away textures, simple enemy AI, 2D sprites, or even something like handling sounds, and, let's get crazier here, what if also on the board was a connector for an Arduino, for very simple tasks, even too light for the Pi? It might be incredibly stupid as I say in the title, but on the other hand, maybe not?
  13. Can we get an F in the chat for my desktop's Windows installation?

  14. I would wait until Ryzen 3000 launches, since it should (hopefully) be launching soon.
  15. Ah yes, I love harnessing the direct power of the Sun for my Pentium IV 2: Electric Boogaloo.
  16. I'm viewing this on a 32GB laptop... Windows 10 started out so promising, and now it's really starting to become Vista and ME, looks good, and the actual environment is good, but so buggy that people may as well just stick to older Windows versions, or maybe we'll finally even see and end to Wintel.
  17. I unfortunately didn't. (I also ran into the issue where I ran out of RAM to run the server and the game at the same time.)
