  1. If you and/or your parents can't stand some guy on a forum saying "fuck", then you and/or your parents probably won't like hearing random raiders say things like "Don't fucking tell me to calm down! I'll calm the fuck down when I want to fucking calm down!" (actual line I've heard in the game). The Fallout series is known for its... harshness, which it juxtaposes with an odd happiness/glee in the music and humor. It can be off-putting for some, and if anyone is sensitive enough to it that they feel the need to turn it off entirely, they really should just go play something else. I mean, there's a perk in the game solely dedicated to increasing the chances that you'll see an enemy explode in a red mist filled with eyeballs and bones and brains...
  2. I've had my Deathadder for about 4 years now. I love the thing. I was at MicroCenter last week and they were selling the Deathadder Chroma for around $50. I was so tempted, but my current Deathadder (one of the old pre-2013 blue ones, btw) is still going strong, so I figured I'd let it go for now and keep using it. So yeah, I love my Deathadder.
  3. Hey man, that Blow Me Away instrumental that kicks in at the end of Gravemind was amazing, okay? Yeah, not sure why everyone is jumping down the dude's throat. "He's a singer lol"... and? What are we? Just random people on the internet? We have no problem sharing our own opinions but "some singer" can't?
  4. Yeah, I liked the ability to customize cars, the licensed soundtrack, and the overall more arcade-y feel of the first two Underground games. I didn't like Carbon, and the only Most Wanted game I played was the 2006 one. It was okay, but I liked the darker night-time setting of the first two. I've heard the new one is pretty good, but that won't be available on PC until next year. I also don't like Crysis 1. The second and third games are okay, but the first is very... generic. It was mostly overhyped because it was very very pretty at the time. There's very little actual depth to it. As for Medal of Honor... LOL. No. That game is a mess, and the series just needs to die already. Not sure why they keep trying to reboot it every so many years. So yeah, I'd suggest an NFS game out of the three choices given, I just don't have much of a recommendation on which of them to get. Though I have heard Shift and The Run are pretty bad.
  5. That's a tough decision. I don't like any of them. lol If you want an NFS game, go old-school and buy Underground and Underground 2.
  6. I hate Halo 5 because of the horrible aim acceleration. If he was stupid enough to buy a bunch of req packs, then that's his own fault. They're not needed at all. I like BB to an extent (mostly their older stuff... not to sound like a hipster or anything), but I've always thought Ben seemed like a bit of a douche. Halo 5 definitely stinks, but I did have some fun with it. Hell, I even earned all of the achievements. I just can't get into the multiplayer with the terrible controls. I can play Battlefront and Battlefield... hell, even the previous Halo games on my Xbone without issue. It's just Halo 5... that aim acceleration is just horribad.
  7. When I reverted back to 7, it miraculously restored everything I had at the time of my upgrade, so it might work. No guarantees though. Or you could look for a free data recovery app, but I've never had great experiences with those, the files they find tend to be corrupt beyond repair whenever I've used them. I learned my lesson after reinstalling Windows without remembering to backup my projects folder where I keep all of my website designs and resources. Now, I usually even keep backups on my family's computers... just for the extra security. lol
  8. Which wouldn't be much of a problem if you had backed up your files to begin with... You MIGHT be able to recover your files by reverting back to whatever OS you had before, which should be under Settings > Backup and Recovery > Recovery... but the files should be wherever they were when you did the update. If they're gone, the chances of recovering them are likely slim to none. For what it's worth, I would just reinstall Windows 7 or 8 and count my losses. Windows 10 is, imo, even worse than Vista in nearly every way. I'm going to avoid it until Microsoft realizes that forcing updates on users, removing apps that they arbitrarily deem incompatible, and reinstalling apps that their users have removed are all terrible ideas and stop doing it.
  9. Always, always, always, always, ALWAYS back up your files.
  10. Some people have oddly shaped heads. Others claim they're extremely comfortable. It's a risk you'll have to take buying any set of cans on the internet. The only alternative is finding an audio shop near you where you can try on sets and find something you like.
  11. Slightly unrelated... which EVGA PSU was it? They have a few that are horrible and some that are some of the best on the market.

  13. Microsoft's biggest problem is that they seem to enjoy spending most of their time culling previous features from their OS, fighting piracy, changing crap that doesn't need changed, and not releasing it all for free while continuing to make money off of proprietary apps and generally becoming the Valve of OS developers.
  14. No, Windows 8 was pretty terrible. There was no incentive to upgrade from 7 at all. 8.1 made the issue tolerable, but 8 itself was an objectively terrible OS, on par with Vista.
  15. You know, considering their weird numbering system for consoles (Xbox 360 obviously named so to compete with the PS3, with the logic that 'Xbox 2' would sound inferior to customers), I could see the actual reason being that they wanted to just finally "compete" with OSX. I've given up trying to figure out what MS is thinking when naming their products. EDIT: Well I guess the above posts are as good a reason as any.
  16. Probably because they considered Windows 8.1 to be Windows 9.
  17. Not with a controller. You plug the fans into that, not your motherboard. Expansion bay controllers are manually operated. Something like the Grid+ by NZXT is an internal controller that you connect to your motherboard and control with software. Choice is yours.
  18. He could always write "Kill all humans!" on the side...
  19. Don't be indignant. Go for it. Make sure it's orange. EDIT: just saw you said you had white. My bad.
  20. NZXT has a decent selection... https://www.nzxt.com/categories/internal-external-controllers

  22. To be honest, you'll get decent high-ultra CSGO performance out of just about anything. I play CSGO with an FX 6300 and 270X. It's not an incredibly heavy game. But switching to a 4690k would be cheaper than the 4790k, and you may as well go Intel to have the objectively superior performance.
  23. Santa Clause came early for me. Got the money I need to switch over to an Intel-based PC and buy a new GPU. Now the only question is whether I want to buy it now, or if I want to wait and see if Intel's highway-robbery prices drop after New Year's.
