  2. We currently have some pretty aggressive anti-raid protection rules at the moment due to how gnarly the raiding has been recently on Discord. I'll see what we can do about granting exceptions.

  4. Today we take a look at an SSD from Liqid dubbed the Honey Badger, and its nearly 50x than the average SATA SSD, HOLY $H!T.
  5. If you're running Windows 10 it should take the upgrade w/o issue. You should however go in and manually uninstall any drivers like chipset, ethernet, and audio, and then just install the drivers corresponding to the hardware you upgrade to!
  6. Just to confirm, the LTT Minecraft server is for the Java edition of Minecraft, not the Windows 10 edition (Windows 10 edition is the version you get from the Microsoft Store). If you're using the Windows 10 edition of the game you will not be able to connect to our server at this time (support is hopefully coming soon! :D). If you are indeed trying to connect with the Java edition of Minecraft, you should enter just "mc.ltt.gg" in the "Server Address" field as shown below.
  7. PSA: The clip where he explained switch to the GoXLR was actually using the GoPro's audio not the GoXLR's.
  8. Temperatures + boost clocks were tested before hand to ensure they were fine on both systems. The AMD test bench didn't have any issues (never went above 70c on the top GPU, and hit the exact same boost clocks) as it was on an open air bench, without the closed environment of a case.
  9. Today we test if the best of AMD can handle the best of Intel for gaming performance!
  10. Due to the massive influx of people donating their processing power to the Folding@Home project their work servers have actually been completely overloaded, but LTT was ready for the call. So in today's video, we build our OWN Folding@Home work server to help in the fight against Covid-19! 11. This is incorrect. The speed of the Pi's ethernet has essentially 0 effect on your actual internet speed as the Pi is ONLY handling the DNS requests (what converts something like google.ca to the IP of the website, like 10.20.0.1) for the content being browsed, not the actual content.
  12. Back in 2016 we purchased a prebuilt "gaming" PC from BestBuy and it was actually relatively decent, but today we find out if the same rings true in 2020.
  13. We show you how you can setup Folding@Home, a distributed computation project that allows you to donate your computer's processing power to help model protein dynamics to combat diseases like Parkinsons, Cancer, Huntingtons, and most importantly, COVID-19. 16. Didn't even realize this thread existed, but I figured I'd throw my hat in the ring! Hardware CASE: Rosewill RSV-L4412 PSU: Corsair RM1000i MB: ASUS C422 PRO/SE CPU: Intel Xeon-W 2195 HS: Noctua L9i RAM: 64GB of SK Hynix 2133MHz DDR4 ECC RAID CARD 1: LSI 9202-16e SSD: 1x 512GB Samsung 850 Evo HDD 1: 4x 12TB Seagate Ironwolf Pro (ST12000NE0007) HDD 2: 2x 8TB Seagate Barracuda (ST8000DM004) HDD 3: 2x 4TB Seagate Barracuda (ST4000DM004) HDD 4: 1x 4TB WD Black (WD4003FZEX) This results in 76TB of raw capacity, and ~64TB of usable when configured with a single 12TB parity drive in Unraid. Software and Configuration: The server is running Unraid because of it's flexibility in terms of the drives installed and excellent data resilience. I have the array configured with 1 of the 12TB drives as parity, giving me ~64 TB of usable capacity. Usage: - Backup server for all the devices in my house, and for some friends. - Runs VMs for Hass.io, Unifi Controller, and some Linux test environments. - Media (Plex server) Backup: The entire array is backed up to Google drive weekly via rclone (I have a gigabit connection) Additional info: n/a Photo's: adding soon tm
  17. Linus explores the world of creating your own VPN, with the help of an open source project called Pritunl. Rent a VPS for this project from Vultr (affiliate link): https://lmg.gg/cO2Wd Forum Tutorial: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1140511-diy-vpn-pritunl-setup-tutorial/
  18. When I used to use Pritunl for my own VPN a few years back I found a way to disable logging, but I have since not been able to replicate that behavior or find any information relating to it. I just looked again and came up empty.
