  1. I like to think I'm not that demanding lol. I'd like to bite the bullet once, and let that last me a good long while. I don't play too many intensive games so I want something that'll last me like 4 or 5 years at minimum. My 2070s will have lasted me 4 years this summer.
  2. That makes sense, I didn't really think about it that way. And I guess buying the Ti Super would keep me out of this situation for longer.
  3. I'm planning to buy a 4070 ti/ti super to upgrade from my current graphics card, an RTX 2070 Super. I'm looking to play a few VR games, and some newer, more intensive games. The games I plan to play are DCS (Digital Combat Simulator) in VR Cyberpunk 2077 Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition Death Stranding And whatever other games come out in the next 5 years. My main concern was with DCS and the difference in VR performance. Would the four gig difference in VRAM make an appreciable difference when playing DCS in VR? I've heard it's very hungry for VRAM. Thanks in advance.
  4. After all that, it seems to be working at 2133. I've had enough, I'll just take it to a pro at some point.
  5. I found out how to check in BIOS, I've got two sticks of Samsung RAM (the new ones) and two of Hynix RAM. How incompatible are those? I'm trying to run those at the speeds they're rated at.
  6. Alright, I've set VcoreSOC to 1.1, and later 1.2 volts, both didn't really change anything.
  7. So I found the command rate and changed it to 2T, i'm going to restart to test that. By SoC, do you mean VCORESOC, or PM1SOC?
  8. I started at 1.5v as I figured that I'd start high, and move down to see where the breaking point was. I haven't given my SoC chip any extra voltage, I'll start there. I don't know what you mean by 2T Command rate, is that something I can change in bios?
  9. Hello, I recently posted about this issue, but I've gotten serious about fixing it as it is getting on my nerves. The issue is as follows: I recently upgraded my 16gb of Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz RAM (2x8) to 32 gigs with two more sticks of RAM of the same make and model. However, after installing the RAM, the computer fails to POST, and will restart itself. After restarting, if I enter the BIOS, I get the "Clear CMOS Information" error, where I must reenable XMP. After I reenable XMP, the computer functions as it would with 32 gigs of RAM. If I don't reenable it, the speeds are reset to 2133mhz, and the PC will BSOD at some point, with a memory related Stopcode, the code itself is inconsistent. If I look in event viewer, I get a Kernel Error 41. What I have done so far: Run memtest, I got three clean passes before getting impatient and ending it. Reflashed BIOS, issues persisted Overvolting RAM to 1.5v (I was not comfortable taking it further), Issues persisted or I would not see login screen Reducing memory frequency slightly, the issues persisted. Removing the new sticks of RAM, the computer functioned as though I never upgraded it. EDIT: I just switched the old RAM with the new RAM, once again, it's acting like I never upgraded it. Do you have any ideas as to what I can try next? I'm at my wits end. Specs: Ryzen 7 3700x Gigabyte Aorus x570 Elite Wifi RTX 2070 Super WD Black M.2SSD (boot) Sandisk SATA SSD, Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive, unknown Toshiba hard drive (taken from family computer). None of the other components have had any issues, so I doubt it's them.
  10. Looks like I forgot to update the drivers. After a restart, I didn't get a BSOD. I'm not sure how that fixed it since the firmware on the sticks was up to date. But I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. I'll be doing the RAM dance if the issue arises again. Thanks!
  11. Hello, I recently upgraded my PC's RAM to capitalize on the recent drop in ram prices. The upgrade was from 2x8 gigs of 3200mhz ram to 4x8 gigs. All the sticks are of the same make and model, and I ran Memtest86 and got three clean passes. The computer BSODs on startup, gives me PFN_List_Corrupt, and continues to do so until I go into bios. When I go into bios, it tells me that it has been reset, and I have to reenable XMP. After I do this, it functions as normal. Is there a more permanent fix than going into bios every day? Thanks in advance.
  12. Would it be possible to see a revival of Handy Tech Under $100? Seems like Short Circuit would be the perfect format for it.
  13. Brothers in Arms is a great trilogy STALKER doesn't have much of a story, but has fantastic atmosphere I enjoyed the ARMA campaigns, but you might not get much value if you're just playing single player Dishonoured, but it's more of an immersive sim/RPG than FPS The Metro series, like STALKER, there's not too much of a story, but the atmosphere is fantastic. Titanfall 2's campaign is one of the best shooter campaigns I've played in a while Deus Ex has a good story, but is more of an RPG than FPS. Far Cry 3/4 are good IME, but rather story light in 4's case.
