  1. Overview I'm looking to upgrade from my nVidia RTX 2060 6GB to something a bit newer with more VRAM. My workload is a bit random, primarily consisting of FFMpeg, Unreal Engine 5, Blender, and AAA Gaming. I don't really care about Raytracing, just raw performance... I'm not sure how much VRAM is necessary, but I know my current 6GB is a bottleneck for my workload... Just wondering what would be the best GPU for my needs... Options AMD RX 7900XT (20GB VRAM) nVidia RTX 3070ti (12GB VRAM) my budget is < $1,000 USD I watched the LTT video on the RTX 4070 Ti and it seemed to show that the RX 7900XT out performed the 4070ti in most benchmarks, however Video Card Benchmark say's the opposite? Thanks in advance!
  2. I have tried everything and the only thing that I could do that works was to completely reset the router. thanks for all your help.
  3. I have been trying to port forward my servers ssh, transmission and apache2 ports (22, 9091, 80 respectively) but my router says that the port is already in use. My guess is that the ports are still in use from my last server and they never were deleted. My last server died while I was connected using ssh and my fear is that the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) is still holding that information in about my last server and has bound the IP and the ports. and as I said my last server is dead and the router isn't allowing me to edit its configurations because it's been so long since my first dying and my second being built and run. Anyway, I was wondering if there was any way to remove the DMZ binding, if that is the case, from the IP without completely resetting my router to default settings, because there are a lot of custom settings that I would rather not re-do. P.S: I am using the Segemcom F@st5260 Router
  4. I believe I have found the issue. My iMac's Motherboard has just failed and now when I launch it I just get a white screen and I believe this is the reason that some functions were not working. Thank you all for your help and suggestions, but at the end of the day my third and crappiest computer is now dead and I am in the process of building a new one.
  5. I can ping and connect to using SSH and my web server is up and running as well as my Plex server and I can connect to it using my laptop on ethernet and wifi it's just my desktop that doesn't seem to have the connection
  6. No, they are on the same subnet and I checked the subnet mask and they should be finding each other
  7. It works over wifi I attempted to plug my laptop into the ethernet and it still connects to the samba server. And how would I get support for samba on my desktop, its running Windows 10 educational edition? or would it be a matter of the ethernet card because that is a killer_ethernet from MSI? Also SMB1 client and server are both enabled in my windows features list
  8. So I turned my old 2014 iMac Pro into an Ubuntu server for my a media server using plex I also host a domain, ssh, apache2, Minecraft, samba and a few others. But the main problem that I am having is the SAMBA server. I bought this to my professor's attention and he recommended going to a forum so here I go. When I attempted to connect using Windows Homegroup and SAMBA it works on my laptop using WiFi but when I use my gaming rig to transfer some files it says this: but when I log in to it with my laptop, again, it asks for my credentials... And here is my networking settings: Each one is the same. If anyone can help that would be great. it's a real pain to continue using FileZilla with all of the speed restraints my desktop has 10 gig file speeds and the server has 1 (I believe)
  9. Ever since I updated to the fall creators update for windows my computer crashes when I try anything strenuous. I've had the kernel security check failure blue screen error. Here are my specs in form of Newegg listings: Motherboard: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130770 Graphics Card: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125852 Everything else:https://secure.newegg.com/Wishlist/SharedWishlistDetail?ID=WmshboZfgDACNREZtPWQfA%3d%3d And I have windows 10 Education that I received from my school. Also, my computer crashed halfway through writing this. The first crash was when launching the Unreal Engine. I have run Malwarebytes and Windows Defender many times and came back nothing.
