  1. So the card isn't getting detected in Manjaro nor in Windows. It still could be PSU related issue as the logo is powered by the PCI Expres. I'll try to get a multimeter and measure the 6pin. But for some reason I have a feeling that's not the issue.
  2. Thanks for the reply, clearing the cmos was actually the first thing I did, forgot to mention it. I don't have different PSU at hand by I messaged few friends if they have one I could borrow or try the gpu at their place, although I wasn't successful so far. I'll try if the card gets detected.
  3. Hey everyone, so my Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 470 seems to have died on me. My computer just turned off while being used and after trying to turn it back on it didn't post. Trying different output port didn't help. I tried my vintage ATI Radeon from 2006 and with it it posts. I cleaned the card, repasted it and checked whether the capacitors look normal (which they do) but still no post. The fans are not spinning but the light for the SAPPHIRE logo is working. Any idea what to try next or do you reckon the fight is lost? Computer Type: Desktop GPU: Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 470 4GB CPU: AMD FX8300 4.4Ghz Motherboard: GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD3 RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1866 PSU: Seasonic S12II-620 620W Operating System & Version: Manjaro, KDE plasma
  4. What do you mean by correct? I am deliberately avoiding adrenaline edition so I am like 4 updates behind but they are correct drivers for my gpu.
  5. So I've installed it but without a change
  6. Hey, I didn't need that in the past but I will definitely try that.
  7. Hello, I am using amd radeon 17.11.4 and I need to create custom resolution at 144hz for playing csgo, I need it to be 1280*960 stretched. I watched some tutorials online but in all of them when they open custom resolution option in their drivers they have everything filled with correct settings and mine are just filled with number 1 (https://prnt.sc/i9qsj3) and even if I rewrite it, it says that creating custom resolutions are not supported for this device. Which is nonsense I remember like an year ago it worked without issues. Any ideas? Edit: I also remember that I had same issue back then that custom resolution could not be set at 144hz so I had to set my monitor to 60hz create custom resolution for 144hz and that it worked but now I can't create custom resolution even at 60hz
  8. Yes I tried voltage up to 1.65. My overclock itself is stable it doesn't crash or anything. Just ram is doing whatever wants at this point. Now it doesn't even work with reset bios and stock frequency. I guess I will have to claim a warranty on this one.
  9. They are both from kit, yes here is my settings. But I figured out that OC works when I leave dram voltage and ram frequency at stock but it doesn't work even with all settings at default and puting ram frequency at 1866 which worked just yesterday. It is really giving me headache.
  10. Bios shows me all 16gb task manager is showing only ram that is currently available which shows about 6gb. Cpuz detects both sticks and aida64 is showing only 8gb. And in windows system info is showing 16gb(7,96 usable). I can tell that it is only half of ram because textures in pubg are not loading properly like they are when all 16 gigs are usable
  11. Well I gained like 10fps in pubg and fps doesn't drop anymore. And it was also improvement in fps stability in csgo.
  12. Hey guys, I am running following system: MB: GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD3 CPU: AMD Vishera FX-8300 GPU: SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 470 4GB RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1866 PSU: Seasonic S12II-620 620W Case: NZXT S340 SSD: Kingston HyperX Savage - 240GB HDD: WD Blue EX - 1TB And I was running 4.4Ghz stable overclock but recently I noticed that only half of my ram is usable So I started troubleshooting. I tried only one stick everything worked fine then I tried second one and nothing. So I am like alright the stick is broken. But than I tried b1 slot instead of a1 slot and it worked but with boot failure. So I reset my bios with works fine with stock settings so all I tried was putting xmp profile to get 1866Mhz and it won't lunch. But if I put both sticks there and run memory at 1866Mhz with rest of bios on default both sticks works fine at that frequency. So at this point I have working memory so I applied my 4.2 overclock which I knew is safe and it worked fine both memory there so I tried my 4.4Ghz overlock which is basically same except multiplier and it doesnt work now only half of memory is usable. So I reset bios once more apply 4.2 and it doesn't work this time. But when I reset bios 16gigs are usable. I tried lot of tweaking to get this work from windows to bios playing with voltages and stuff but I can't get it to work. I am quite frustrated at this point. Any reasonable ideas?
  13. Yea you were right, I can't read apparently. This means I can't use that aleksa pwm thingy to control my fan which kinda sucks. Have to figure it out now. It is pretty loud with all fans full speed.
  14. There is not really much to miss, is it? I am pretty sure I did everything correctly.
  15. In what manual did you read it? Mine cleary says that second pin is 12v/speed control and in matter of facts it it exactly same as a cpu fan.
  16. Yes it does have pwm. Manual confirmed.
  17. Do you mean you mean automatic fan speed? If so then yes
  18. Have seen that. As I said even if I choose correct bus in advanced options and set everything on manual can't regulate my fans speed
  19. Hey guys, I have gigabyte gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 and I have AKASA FLEXA molex (this) connected to system_fan 4 pin on my motherboard and into it I got connected 4 fans but I can't control my fan speeds in speedfan even if I choose correct bus in advanced options and set every pwm on manual. I can regulate my cpu fan there but not my other fans. Any ideas?
