  1. I would go with the non overclocking i5 and the 1060 but get a overclocking board. That way you can upgrade to an overclockable i7 down the line without a new motherboard.
  2. Ya, I saw that too . . . I figured he thought it was running at a lower clock than it really is.
  3. I think he just wants to OC cause its fun and cool.
  4. Only CS:GO and maybe some of the less demanding titles. Trust me I have one.
  5. You can use this in C#: //To string or something here String.Format("{0:0.0}", 2.865); Sorry, it's been awhile since I've used C++ but maybe you could find an equivalent . . .
  6. pcpartpicker.com will do it for you
  7. You should not be spending all your money on the CPU then get a 1060. Get a better GPU and a worse CPU.
  8. Check the number of watts your upgraded system will draw and make sure that the PSU able to deliver significantly more than what is required.
  9. Even if you have an OEM key, you can call Microsoft and explain that you are upgrading your motherboard. They will sometimes give you a new key to use for the new motherboard and disable your old one.

You don't seem to need the software and you would be far better off in terms of cost and performance if you found a nice sleek Windows machine. If you don't like Windows and want the Mac for the desktop environment, I would install Elementary OS which is a Mac-like Linux distro.
  12. And speaking of crazy, here's a word from our sponsor for today's episode, Synergy. Synergy is a free to use VPN app that allows you to tunne- oops wrong one.
