  1. Ordered the LTT screwdriver few weeks ago and got these as a bonus. Could choose stickers or the the headband + sweatband. 11 years haven't been on this forum. haha.
  2. Optus has signed a deal with Netflix.. I am unsure what you mean by blocking them out of the aussie market? This ordeal started when Netflix said they regret signing a deal with Optus and iinet. What does Optus do, pay up $$ you're killing our pipe ( I think they forgot to read the fine print when they signed the agreement which our ISP's usually do to us..) How much money do these companies have..? Seriously, and they ignored the fact that there will be increased traffic. All politics and I fkn hate them all. Greed runs our country.. Now give me my damn fibre!!!
  3. Re-post. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/333014-new-research-turns-packing-peanuts-into-batteries/
  4. I have uninstalled and installed it again.. Can't see any unusual activities going on?? There was a quote in the article; "The issue specifically relates to uTorrent version 3.4.2 build 28913 (32-bit), which is the company’s most recent update." The one I just downloaded is: build 38913. Maybe it's fixed? Only reason why I put up with uTorrent is the scheduling.. Tried the qbittorrrent one and not a big fan. If any one else knows other good clients that implement a decent scheduler I am all for.
  5. Yeah, I would suggest the same as above; have someone supervise you while you do this build. We all had to start from somewhere, though I guess you can be lucky with all the Youtube vids and forums for support out these days. You should be fine as long as you take your time and not rush things. Go to online PC stores ie. Newegg, or where ever you are located. Ask them what would they recomend for a 1k build. Gather several prices/products and work around this. For $1000 you should be able to find what you are after. Just make sure you mention what you want the machine to do.. Games, Work.... As for your build, I would suggest you invest in a SSD personally as loading times will reduce for multiple applications and make things easier. This is your call.. This is what I gathered for $1500 (US) from an Australian store. You work with what is available and where you are located, as prices could be cheaper. 1. 6. True, but this is a forum with mods and there are guidlines to be followed if I am correct? Again, we are all eager to hear his explanation..
  7. I agree too, but you don't go swearing at him for what he said.
  8. Guys there is no need for flaming the dude and swearing at him. He obviously didn't word his sentence correctly, and from what I can see English is not his first language. There are alot of us from all around the world and you need to remember this. We all voice different opinions.. As for Gates, I think he has done good to the world and continues to do so through out his charities.
  9. The idea is good, but that price tag... Nope.. Make it $300-400 and I might buy one. Living in a high humid place (north QLD, Australia), I've been looking into Peltier cooling for a while, though condensation is the biggest problem.. This product could be pretty interesting, but $1499 is a bit too much. Ryan at Tom's Hardware has built a similar unit and has been running it for 2 years now. (@5 deg c) just above freezing point, this solves condensation. Building it compact and making it work is another thing.. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/282844-29-peltier-water-cooling#t2033960
  10. Ok, so I finally managed to get the headset to work again. It was the Logitech G510s keyboard's usb driver that was causing the conflicting issue. Even with multiple uninstalls/ manual registry cleans it still didn't work so these where the steps I did. 1. Removed both headset and keyboard 2. Uninstalled software and restarted machine (Hardware still disconnected) 3. Installed Revo Uninstaller Pro and performed a advanced “Uninstall” which located leftover registry’s and files. 4. Installed and ran CC Cleaner to finalize any leftover files 5. Restarted the PC and logged in (virtual keyboard- mouse; both hardware still disconnected). Installed Logitech Gaming software and restarted machine again. 6. Connected Headset dongle and installed drivers (auto), restarted PC 7. Performed test in recording software ( I used Sound Forge for testing, you can use Microsoft's Recorder..), all is OK, no “robotic voice”. 8. Connected Logitech G510s keyboard and installed drivers (auto), restarted PC 9. Performed test again and status is OK (Razer Comm's, Mumble, Ventrillo, Skype works as should)! I hope this may be of some use if someone has similar issues.
  11. Hi all, I have a pretty annoying problem with my Logitech G430 gaming headset on my main gaming rig (other works fine) if someone can assist me fixing this problem. Not sure exactly when this happened/sort of, my voice sounds "robotic" or like with a voice cancellation effect when I speak through the microphone.. (No effects are on). Using Razer Comms, Skype, Ventrillo, Mumbles.. same thing.. Only happens with Logitech's usb dongle on the main PC.. I assume some bad driver that I cannot get rid of, as I also use a G510s keyboard with audio- earbuds attached when I don't chat.. I've done the usual, uninstall, plugged different ports, safe mode, checked if any effects are on, got rid of anything that had "Logitech" in regedit with no luck still, manually deleted anything associated with Logitech in device manager. The headset and usb dongle work fine with my other machines and no hickups, so a faulty dongle or headset they are not. Couple nights ago I was gaming on my earbuds through the Logitech G510s, when I received a call in game through Razer Comms. I minimized the tab, changed input/outpus settings in Windows (as I usually do) and that is when my friends noticed this strange sound. I'm not sure if the keyboard is causing this drama (as it too has a built in usb soundcard), and the bad part is I did a newbie mistake and disabled "System Restore" a long time ago, so I cannot role back.. Any help would be appreciated.
